In 2018, Ladd was misdiagnosed with lung disease and told she had just six months to live but made a full recovery after her daughter transferred her to a different hospital.

I remember her mostly from a terrible (amazing) made-for-TV (I think) 'thriller' called Hush Little Baby and also The Stepmother. 89 is a decent enough age though eh.

I went through a bit of a Laura Dern fixation in my early twenties and watched loads of random films she was in. Rambling Rose was quite lovely.
