Back home from Brighton.

Brighton needs to be my home again. Basically will do everything I need to do, to do my PhD there.
 
Ugh - my boss (AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HIS WORKSHY WIFE THAT I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH) isn't intending to retire until 2022 or 2023. I don't think I or the company can LAST THAT LONG
 
I'm just back home from Brighton as well. I'm not sure I'd want to LIVE there at this advanced age. Although perhaps Pride is a bit too frenetic to properly judge it fairly by.

By fuck I do enjoy visiting, though.

Oh God that was by the far the busiest I have EVER seen Brighton! In my five years there and multiple Prides I've never seen anything like.

Very mixed feelings about the very obvious commercialisation of Pride and kinda miss the seedier edge, but I appreciate the growth and variety of events now available.
 
There were many highlights, but I think my favourite bit was on the train going in and excited gay popped open a bottle of Prosecco and accidentally sprayed it over everyone in proximity.

There was also the hate preacher on Brighton seafront during the Parade. I went up to him and chanted "Kylie Kylie Kylie". He asked me what that had to do with anything. I shouted at him that Kylie is the saviour and only Kylie can judge, which was apparently blasphemy.
