Sometimes when I see people with disabilities and in a wheelchair and things like that I do think about things. Some of our lives are so different and we do take a lot for granted. I can't imagine not being able to walk about and do everyday things like that. It really makes you think how lucky we are

This topic doesn't deserve the sincere post I made, so EDITED.

It’s not just physical disabilities. Neurodivergent people are often an afterthought as are people with anxiety, depression etc.

I think we take a lot of things for granted. I mean I (and most people here) have essentially unlimited access to food and water. But theres only so much you can dwell on it before its depressing

And then other people took the piss. Fuck off coming at me you insipid braindead ignoramus.

i mean, there's no doubt that we, as people who live decent lives in the West, have no conception of how privileged we are and how badly other people live in order to enable this.

I don't have a list of things that I want to do before I die or strive to live life to the fullest or accomplish this or that in my life if that's what you mean by taking life for granted, but at the same time the simplest of things give me immense happiness and I appreciate every good day 🤷‍♂️

Stop taking mick bev

babes, i legit wrote that, no quotes or nothing 💜

we talk about disability privilege or neurotypical privilege, but i don't think any of us can comprehend how awful life is for some people, the kinds of basic things people go without. we could never imagine that for ourselves.

I think sometimes we get weighed down by petty things that don't actually matter and know they don't matter but become isolated from people anyway

I take life for granted and I think most people do. Putting things off with the intention of doing them "later" and just assuming that I'll be around "later" to do them. I still do it now, even after last year's medical blip, because the realisation that anybody could drop dead at any moment is really depressing.
