170 bpm isn’t that impressive really. Humans hearts can beat faster than that

I like giraffes so much that a few years ago I watched one giving birth to a calf on a live feed from an animal park. Had also spent the previous six weeks with the live feed running but muted all day every day at work. Lovely creatures.

It was very sad. The reason why the did it remains unknown (at least up until the book was published about 15 years ago).
