I've been told I have a natural way with them even though like a wolf I always sense that they can SMELL my fear.

I'm only comfortable once they're old enough that I can properly TALK to them.

I've never enjoyed holding other people's BABIES either, far too fragile, I may as well be driving drunk!

I never knew what to say or do when people used to turn up at the office with their babies (apart from go to the toilet or make coffee), not least because I’m not very good at being fake

IS IT MEANT TO LOOK LIKE THAT, etc.

Oh God that's awful. And the assumption that you'll want to HOLD it!

I do like kids. I enjoyed being a camp counselor, I like being an uncle, and I do want 2 or 3 of my own one day.

One of the best parts of being gay, I feel, is that there is no rush and I can do it on my own (and hopefully with a future husband's) schedule

I think it’s the EXTENSION OF SELF business I have trouble with. And the mother blatantly fishing for FLATTERING REMARKS

I would never want one but if they’re well behaved and belong to friends or family that I like then I enjoy them for a short while.

Babies are pretty gross, although I do get along with children between the ages of 5 and 9, they’re generally quite horrid before and after that though.

I hate kids, and they have made all my friends who have them (or even want them) boring. I miss when they had more free time. I also hate interacting with them, they're dull, no different to every other child, and I have no idea what to say or do with them.

With babies though, it's worse. I'm genuinely scared of them. I think it's something to do with the fact that they don't quite look like humans, entirely out of proportion. I clam up around babies and will find any excuse to leave whenever I am near one. Someone once waved a baby they were holding towards me, and I came so close to hitting the baby out of instinct.

They didn't try that stunt again though. :emoji_shrug:

No, keep them away from me.

I’ve certainly never wanted to HAVE children. I’d be a terrible father: forcing them to learn German and not allowing McDonalds. Never mind that dad would be stuffing his face with it :)

Absolutely hate people who bring their brats into the office. My response is to sit at my desk looking disgusted and dishing out SCOWLS APLENTY whist HAMMERING away at the keyboard.

Bring a dog and I'll be rolling about on the floor with it.

I bet you always had something great for Show And Tell if you were raised by lesbians.

I think it’s often on the pretext that EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE IT but people are only saying that because it’s what they think they SHOULD say

I did once work for a totally lunatic organisation with a manager who insisted on bringing her dog into the office EVERY DAY and we were expected to hide it if senior management turned up. Naturally any cute appeal wore off VERY quickly

My old boss used to bring her dog to work every day. Even when he was old and incontinent. She WAS senior management though, so there was no hiding it. And she hated children.

She also let me have special leave for vet trips and death of cats.

People who bring their dogs to work are absolute fucking cunts.

Tbh I don’t find dogs to be much better. Sure they’re cute to play with but they slobber everywhere, track dirt and shed everywhere.

Again fun for a short while but I don’t think I want one.

I think I wouldn’t mind it if i didn’t have to play HIDE IT! HIDE IT! ANDREW’S COMING! but inevitably they ARE a distraction and not conducive to anyone getting any work done

My cousin's wife refuses to travel without her cockapoo as her emotional support animal which at the risk of sounding BEHIND, I thought all dogs were emotional support animals. :bruised:

I forgot to mention that said manager went to Battersea to collect said dog IN WORK TIME and we had to cover for her when someone asked why she wasn’t at a scheduled meeting. Relations between me and she swiftly deteriorated :)

Both my cousins got vests for their dogs so they can take them with them everywhere and it’s so annoying. When we we would go to a restaurant they have them in their laps feeding them. It was gross.

And what’s worse is that one is named Gucci and the other one Chanel :goodgrief:
