I think misogynistic audiences are often the most negative and the loudest ones for sure. But I know people who just want her to "go away" simply because she makes music they think is shit. Or because they've just grown bored of her. Or because they think she's run out of ideas. But they'll often just ignore her. It really isn't. Sometimes it's about the one person, not their entire demographic. I want Meghan Trainor to go away because she's shit. Just her.

That's far too simplistic a take. Not every negative opinion of a female is rooted in misogyny.

Just to say I've disliked her as a person for a VERY LONG TIME, way before Instagram even existed. I just find her grating and unrelatable. If you enjoy that, then fine. Her personality rarely invades my life.

I've always given her music a fair chance. And to be fair very few artists get to 20 years into their career and still make amazing music. She overachieved and I respect her for that and enjoy the art.

I don't especially like Mariah, but her best tunes are 13s. I don't understand the hero worship of Taylor Swift, let alone why she still has a career as I find most of her music unlistenable, but I'm still pleased there's a woman holding fort as the biggest star in the world.

It's not misogynistic. I don't like or don't think about a huge amount of male performers. Women are far more interesting. Men are dull.

Ray of Light is a work of art. Vogue is the greatest pop song ever, except for Dancing Queen and I Feel Love.

When she toured, I didn't care about her performance, I just enjoyed listening to her talk. I love her fearlessness, her nerve, her relentless self-belief. I find her inspiring, for whatever flaws she may have.

So, yes, to answer the question, I like Madonna.
