OMG they did an I Begin to Wonder lip sync!

Shame it was awful. :(

Scarlet and Et Cetera are both very annoying but there was no doubt Scarlet won the challenge. I wonder if the preview from next week about Ru needing to discuss something is about the racism?
 
I thought this was a great episode, I love the rivalry between Elektra and Scarlet (and wish I could watch Elektra fucking Scarlet’s brains out).

But what a terrible and sad ending. How could they let the best queen go?!

Elektra is my favourite even though she comes off as a bit too defensive.
 
Generally not finding etcetera very likeable, but I thought they were quite mean to place them so low. I really liked her runway!

can’t stop thinking of them as Sean Tully/Anthony Cotton though
 
Etc is horrible but yes, that outfit wasn’t bottom 3.

I actually thought Anita was one of the best looking but that might have been because of her hair and make up. She looked expensive next to the others.
 
Hated this, what’s the point of a competition if they bring contestants back without even the pretense of it being fair or giving a reason.

Also the criticism towards Anita was ridiculous. As if any of those outfits were original (have we not seen a hundred Marie Antoinette inspired outfits before?). It’s so obvious that they have the final 3 in Art, Scarlett and Karen and everyone else is fodder.

And yes it’s always been like that but they‘re not even pretending anymore.

Even though Karen from Sherry Pie's Alias Department won that, it was a bit of a daggii lip sync given the potential (still happier than a 90s white woman singing Hakuna Matata in front of unsure looking African children that it happened though).

Anita was by far the most likeable queen there. I thought she looked great!

Still annoyed by this and also what the fuck was Ru warring? It has to be one of the ugliest things ever. She should have eliminated herself.

I hate this show officially.
 
I liked Ru’s dress. It had the national colours of Australia.
 
Worse than when she came as Rebecca's glass cock on the Graham Norton USA show all those years ago. I kept waiting for a queen being criticised to answer back "likewise" at her.

Scarlett and Etc being rancid cunt stereotypes, it's not fun, it's just tired
I hoped it was going to be Karen and Etc in the bottom, I can't believe they put the most successful two in the bottom, with Art just back for no reason

Lip sync was shit too

How many episodes are there? I'm COUNTING

I wonder what the warning was about - Art's note to the only QoC? Let's hope so, bin off that cunt
 
Yeah I'm just putting this on as background noise while I do other things at this point. The Art thing is so transparently ridiculous that I can't even be arsed getting worked up about it.

The whole thing is just so stale and tired at this point. Losing the only queen who I actually fully enjoyed just cements it.

I feel like @dUb is going to get cross at me but it's not meant to be a bad thing at all - KarenFF out of drag always reminds me of dUb! I can't quite work out why, maybe it's the head shape, who knows!

dUb is a much better lip syncer though
 
oh BTW while I think of this, people going in on Elektra all the time - aren't Kita and Anita good friends of hers (or at least employers) - I never see them defending her!

Absolutely! Is she really only being favoured by production because Trixie and Katya have mentioned her a few times on their show? Because I can't see much else there so far :confused:

Kita and Anita had their own version of Drag race called 'House of Drag'. It went for two seasons and Elektra
came second in season 2
if memory serves.

It's been a while since I saw it, but I seem to recall Elektra being a sour-faced bugger on that, too.

It was cheap and tacky, but quite fun for what it was.
 
It really does feel like the pre-season WHISPERS of this season being a bit of a mess were probably right eh.

A lot of the reaction to this episode I've seen on social media/Reddit hasn't been shock at Art's return or Anita's elimination but more general apathy towards the whole thing. The puppet strings of production are just TOO OBVIOUS in this season.
- Art's return just felt like they'd realised they were lacking somebody in the line up to be the winner.
- RuPaul saying that Karen was a "strong queen" or whatever before the lipsync, even though we've barely seen anything to suggest that on screen.
- Anita seemingly being pulled out a hat to be eliminated, as Art/Karen/Scarlet are the clearly pre-selected top 3. (I don't even particularly like Anita, and I don't think she had a lot left to show us, but it was still a blatantly ridiculous elimination :D )

It's all just a bit mediocre isn't it. No shade to the queens who are all talented in their own right - but there's nothing truly exceptional on display here.
Elektra is by far my favourite, as she's the only one giving me anything to root for with her me vs the world storyline :D I'll probably stop watching when she is inevitably eliminated within the next couple of episodes.

Oh and that lipsync was TERRIBLE! Truly one of the worst I can remember.
 
At least now if/when one of the contestants blacks up they can say it was in the name of representation!
