Drag Race UK: Season 6

I did think it was the best song Ava Max had put out in about five years.

Good episode! It's such a nice cast I'm genuinely sad to see any of them go, but Zahirah was definitely a little out of her depth, and losing Lill at this stage is just unthinkable.

I love that Elephant is now a cult gay anthem confirmed. :disco:

I was absolutely convinced I was listening to Ava Max :D That song had no business being that good.

Zahaira was just annoying tbh. Glad she's gone.

Marmalade really wasn't that bad in the group challenge.

Also, when was the last time it was this obvious who was gonna win this early?

Had no idea who the guest judge was until the song began.

Burkey was brilliant - gutted they didn't guest judge her too.

Chanel was very lucky I thought, thank god she delivers at all times if not the actual challenges.

Sigh of relief for Lill. Love that the let's just call it 'energy' remains the same if she's topping or bottoming :disco:

I think Lill is just really nice. When she told the group she didn't wanna hold them back by forcing them into a basic routine and then apologized for not delivering to their level, I found that very endearing. It gives her an underdog quality.

I think that between Marmalade's pre-planned inspirational monologues, La Voix being La Voix and Zahira doing THIS in every confessional, Lill plodding around nonchalantly is just a breath of fresh air.

EVERYONE thought Bimini had it in the bag for season 2!
Not from the first few episodes though. Didn't Bimini start to really shine post lockdown filming break? They were bottom and lip synching in the first episode. Laurence seemed the favourite at the start.

Lawrence was the clear front runner in part 1, but Bimini’s part two arc definitely suggested she was going to win, and I remember everyone being quite confused when she didn’t. Lawrence was not a popular winner at all at the time.

You could make an amazing UK All Stars cast from just series two and six.

I do think a well cast UK All-Stars could be AS2 level good as they have 6 seasons of queens to pull from.

They could do 2 UK All Stars in as many years instead of the main show quite frankly. And Canada is equally overdue their own strand of AS.

It's wild that Tia is the only queen from season 2 so far to have a second run. When you consider the strength of the cast and who has turned up on various vs the world and global all stars, it make no sense.

Did we ever find out why they've never done a UK All Stars season? Surely, budget isn't an issue anymore, if they're now giving actual cash prizes and if Spain has been able to do one (unless the Spanish drag market is that much bigger??).

Dead Or Alive is so good! It’s been a while since we last got a good song from Drag Race.
The lipsync was mediocre though, which makes me fear for Lil.

Surely it's down to Ru's schedule being too full, and logistics of filming it. Either that or they decided to prioritise UK vs The World fpr Canada and UK over a country specific All Stars (which ha turned out to be a poor decision IMHO).

I think there must be a contract for so many vs the worlds else otherwise it makes little sense.

For Spain, who have had one, it strangely feels like it is outside those contracts (even outside WOW/Drag Race itself, like the only independant franchise) as no one from the espana series has been on any other va, global or otherwise

I think that’s potentially more to do with the pool of queens with strong enough English to compete in an international series being smaller in Drag Race España than other countries’ franchises.
