first single from the Barbie soundtrack out FRIDAY

sounds like more of the same and frankly I can't wait :disco:

Don't these kinda movies always end up disappointing? (And their songs even more so). I can't help but make comparisons to the Smurfs etc.

What was the other thing she did for a film that flopped and got buried like a cat's turd? Swan Song or something?

It's....ok.

To be honest she was so ubiquitous that I really need a bit of a longer break from Dua.

It sounds like a cute little leftover from Future Nostalgia, so yes fine for soundtrack fodder.

It's a good tactic. If more of the same hits big, great, that's what's going on the next album. If it doesn't, meh, it's just a bit of fun for a soundtrack, innit?

Listened to this last night. It was ok. May grow. But yeah sorta fun for Barbie, didn't grab me. Not the same calibre as the songs from the last album on first listen.

Kind of sounds like a cast-off from Future Nostalgia. I think it'll be a hit though (#3 UK, #8 US) with it being catchy and the Barbie hype

Can this kick off a Dua backlash please?

She's REALLY RATHER DULL and her songs AREN'T THAT GOOD

Leave dUb alone! He needs our support in this time of delusion difficulty

It's a perfectly serviceable bit of disco fluff. I wish it had a bit more oomph, but I appreciate Ms Lipa is frequently oomphobic.

She's a great pop star for people who lack imagination - the songs are good (some are even great) but she's just a vessel. I imagine the sort of people who go to her shows also go to see Beyonce and think they're witnessing some sort of cultural 'moment' (they ain't).

Don't feel like I need to listen to it again, but it is a soundtrack single.

GIVE US THE ALBUM
