Third single, supposedly coming TOMORROW

It leaked a while ago and samples or heavily borrows from INXS' Need You Tonight

I'm very confused about the hand though. It looks like it belongs to somebody under the table.

This feels quite soon after Physical.

Physical hasn't made a huge dent globally (best peaks so far outside the UK are #12 Belgium and #14 Australia) so maybe they thought it got a bit buried by Don't Start Now and the better option was just to press on.

They're clearly going ahead with the album then. I guess her audience will be very streaming-heavy so it won't matter so much.

I would say get that third concurrent top ten single but considering how long it took Physical to crack it maybe not.

Based on limited listening, and assuming it is much the same as the leak, I would say Break My Heart is excellent again but maybe more 9/10 rather than 10/10 like the previous two. That said, I expect to be full on looning once more before too long.

Well I guess this might not be coming today then (just watch Dua spring a mid-afternoon surprise!). Might be nice for Physical to have another week to breathe anyway, poor love doesn't look like it will even get a telly performance now.

still haven't heard this but i wish the sample had been ub40's don't break my heart instead.

does don't start now have a chance at #1 in us?

it's here!

there's a radio deal in the US so major push incoming. video out tonight

The song is fine but I cannot get excited about HER. It's almost as if there's no one to stan currently so the girls are latching on to anyone that's half decent.

Come thru ANTI-QUARANTINE QUEEN! I am LIVING for the 10+ social closeness realness!

The song itself is pop greatness. I feel sorry for the gayz who just can't SEE it.

Rock is not my department. I felt really proud even remembering the Queen song.

Literally never heard it.

But loving your gay snobbery regardless!

The song is great; lovely disco strings again and nice use of the sample (to be fair I did get Queen when I first heard the demo but it so obvious once you know). The video has moments of maximum fabulosity, but while I usually do appreciate the doing us a favour, half-arsed approach she has it doesn't always quite come off here.

i find both the song and the video (shot in sofia) to be pretty weak sauce.

give it a week am, you'll love it. the album is here :disco:

07 Future Nostalgia
11 Don't Start Now
07 Cool
11 Physical
09 Levitating
08 Pretty Please
08 Hallucinate
10 Love Again
08 Break My Heart
04 Good In Bed
07 Boys Will Be Boys

That middle section of the album is quite phenomenal. Love Again is my favourite right now (and Dua's apparently) - the most disco thing here :disco:

This has 92 on Metacritic (!) right now. It was at 98 before Pitchfork's review (a 7.5) dragged it down.

Also its release date is March 27th. The last two Album of the Year Grammy winners (Billie Eilish and Kacey Musgraves) were released March 29 and March 30 respectively. Just sayin!

OMG not Miss Dua sampling White Town’s Your Woman on Love Again :disco:

Love Again in particular sounds like an obvious smash single, surely the next one after Break Your Heart?

The critics are loving this perfectly executed album campaign :disco: QUEEN!

This album is clearly just PACKED with singles! It sort of reminds me of Good Girl Gone Bad or Dangerous Woman in THAT RESPECT (although Dangerous Woman barely picked the songs that should have been singles :D )

Break My Heart is such an earworm too.
I wasn’t fussed at first, but it’s going round my head now.

The "Break My Heart" pre-chorus is so good. The rest of song is still growing, but overall I think it has more hit potential than "Physical".
