not quite clear but it seems that Levitating featuring Madonna (if it's not a ruse/wild rumour) will be the FIFTH single / third in the US after Break My Heart, and this will be a Fun For Europe affair to slot in first.

Video was apparently shot with Anwar recently. I guess some kind of new version is coming, unless the 10th is just the video drop date
 
It kind of makes sense to drop Hallucinate now as a quick fizzy European Summer hit, then push Levitating as an Autumnal/Christmas-focused Uptown Funk style smash.

It's pretty much NOW OR NEVER if Hallucinate is ever going to be a single.
 
I'm just not convinced Hallucinate is single material, as enjoyable as it is. It's a BIT more throwaway/non-essential than the other singles.

I'd prefer Love Again. But let's see.
 
OH. I wasn't expecting this to be the next single.
 
Hallucinate will fit perfectly with UK radio. I'd prefer Love Again also, but it makes more sense as a Summer single - especially if it's Europe only, with a main focus on the UK.

Love Again is perhaps a bit too similar tempo-wise to Break Your Heart.
 
Love Again is still my favourite on the album but I can see this one work during the summer. I also prefer it to Levitating.
 
Thrilled with this choice :disco: I didn't ever think this would ever be a single, it always seemed the gay fan favourite destined to remain an album track.
 
YES

Stand out track on the album for me, apart from the first two singles.
 
Hallucinate is a joy, and single worthy, like nearly all the album. I prefer Levitating, but at least that is apparently lined up for an opportune moment.
 
'Cool' would have been fun (for Europe) as well but 'Hallucinate' is the obvious next single and, I'd have thought, a better fit for Madame X to feature on but I guess we'll be treated to the dulcet (auto-) tones on 'Levitating' duet version for the inevitable reissue when Madame has had her hip done and Corona is less of a major issue to allow a sexy non social distancing video.

I don't mind an animated video, I'm just not sure when she signed the merch deal with Funko Pop.
 
There are creative ways to work around the pandemic with a music video. Don't give us excuses, DUA.
 
She filmed one in London 3 weeks ago which I presumed was for this single but must be for Levitating.
 
To be honest its such a good track and she can do no wrong, so I don't think at this stage an animated video will harm too much, but it is lazy and kinda kills momentum given how visual and just amazing she has been so far in this campaign.

Maybe it's all a PLAN so that her DUET with MADONNA makes even more WAVES.

I like the space dolphins bit.
 
Its not bad, but as predicted, I never really want to watch it again. It's hard to go wrong with a song like that though
 
That Tensnake remix is good but it just sounds like the original which was already great so probably a bit unnecessary. The original was already 80s tastic enough

Hallucinate is my 2nd fave off the album after Cool. Radio seems to be getting behind it and it's slowly climbing the chart, so it'll probably help the album. This album peaked early and I can't imagine it getting many top ten singles over a long period. Only solution is a reimagining of an album track with a guest feature, which is rumoured to be on the cards, so there's that.
 
I really like the Tensnake remix. Her best remix since Dom Dolla's take on Don't Start Now.

It definitely feels like an extended edit of the original but the sparkly new details and instrumental breaks give it more space to breathe. Very good stuff.

well anyway I enjoyed the album, when I liked track by track I kept all except the title track and the last two. Hallucinate is sort of an obvious single but the most basic thing there.

the problem I personally have with Dua (and not just her so don’t start now) is that it feels like she’s just getting these songs because this was a crucial album the label wanted to spring for, so I feel a lot of the songs (not all) were from those writing camps and could easily be someone else’s songs.

Hallucinate sounds like backing music for an LGBT event ad, and Sia-style not much going on lyrically, especially the chorus. You know songs where they’re like “I want a song called xxx because it’s a cool title, so let’s make something up”

not bad but ... having trouble getting excited about it, which was not the case for Popular, and Cool should be a single!
 
What I think, it's a thoughtfully CONSTRUCTED pop album with a decent CAMPAIGN, but that's just the way I see it.
