At the very least. Striking up a friendship between Britney and Lexi makes a lot of sense. Much better than in the past when they’d push two child characters together as best friends just because they were the same age.
 
I wonder if she's involved with Bobby's exit, I doubt they'd kill another of Ians kids off so perhaps she'll run him out of Walford.
 
If she's going to go bad, I want her to go ACTUAL BAD

Not just a tired (and far too obvious) affair storyline
 
I see KAREN is returning for a bit which begs the question why on EARTH did they get rid of her in the first place?
 
Some of Bianca's dialogue suggests she'll be around for a while, but it's never been announced as anything other than a "short stint", so I'm not sure what that means. I'd assume she'll be around now to facilitate Whitney's exit (which cannot come soon enough because it does feel like the writers are throwing the character under the bus, somewhat, with all the Britney stuff).

I do wonder whether Letitia Dean's unplanned absence meant Lorraine Stanley's previous return was cut short, and she's coming back now to play out bits of the plot she wasn't able to beforehand.

I would love another long term Bianca return but as Patsy Palmer and her family are all based in LA now I don’t think that will ever happen. :(

I get that with Letitia Dean but Karen was written out just before the climax of this storyline. Surely they would have been better just keeping her on full time for an extra 6 months or so?

I think it was maybe a considered thing to not have Karen around full time. If she had been, she’d have been demanding to know where Keanu was from day 1 of the story and they wouldn’t have been able to drag out his disappearance.
 
I’m glad they remembered that Kat and Bianca are friends.

In fact there was a lot of that tonight, with Bianca caring for Tiff’s best friend Bernie even though they’ve never been on screen together, and the reference to Zack and Nancy being together.
 
It seems Yolande won’t be keeping her ordeal to herself for very long as we’re getting a Patrick and Yolande two-hander next Tuesday.
 
How old is Billy’s dad supposed to be? Billy is in his early 60s, but I suppose everyone in that family had children very young.

Wonder why he was so desperately looking for Jamie.

Either way Nadine was a bit dumb trying to bribe him by saying the family were suspicious of him. Exposing her would be the easiest way to gain their trust.
 
I like Billy's Dad. Amazed it took this long for Eastenders to get him.
 
It does feel like there's been a concerted effort to establish a bit more lineage to the Mitchell family dynamic. I don't think they ever recovered from the loss of Peggy, Ronnie, Roxy and - to a certain extent - Sharon. I just wish Kat was still part of it :(
 
Awww I wasn't expecting that episode to go like that. I do hope he doesn't get away with it though
 
Well that's another month with Sharon off screen. I wonder if she'll show up for Zack and Whitney's wedding.

Where have they all gone? Denise, Sharon, Stacey, Suki, Eve and Kathy all seemed to have vanished after Dean was jailed. Linda was seen briefly last week.

I guess it makes sense that they’ve all had time off after months of being featured so heavily, but my god the same could hardly be said of Sharon.

Letitia Dean returned for a week, was off screen in jail for a week, featured in a couple of scenes upon her release and absolutely nothing since then!

One would have thought she’d have unfinished business with Phil after Christmas or play a role in the Zack and Whitney storyline.
 
I assume given Letitia Dean’s extended absence was unplanned (for whatever reason), there may be an element of phasing her back in.

It might always have been the same, but I notice much more in Neighbours now that when actors are used heavily for a big storyline, they’re written out for a few weeks once the storyline eases up.
 
Also, given the news that cast aren't being allowed to take time off for panto or whatever reason around the build-up to the 40th anniversary, it may be that we'll see a lot of annual leave being stacked up in other parts of the year.

Whatever it was seems to have caused her to be off screen quite suddenly, although it must have been planned to some extent because she managed to get all the Christmas Day and Boxing Day scenes in the bag (and show up in mid-December for a press event to promote the episodes).

It just seems bizarre that she came back so briefly and then vanished all over again.
