EastEnders 2024 (8 Viewers)

Chrissie’s hair and makeup is very well done for someone who has been incarcerated for nearly 20 years.

I suppose she was a hairdresser and beautician.

CHRISSIE! :disco: Next week is gonna be so camp can't wait :D Enjoyed it a lot this week but that was shite acting from Bernie when Linda told her, especially the strangling part. I think Bernie will be gone after this story finishes

Linda in the cellar slapping herself and breaking down was a brilliant scene. Is something gonna happen between her and Phil? Not sure but I kinda sensed something there

I just skimmed through the last two episodes and, to be fair, they’ve clearly given Tracy-Ann Oberman the Sable Colby “ham it up to the nines” order and fuck me, it was CAMP!

Chrissie looking flawlessly stylish and being done up to the nines in a 19 year prison stint is all kinds of iconic.

I like the return in that they've attempted to address the double-standard in how the respective pub "murder" stories were handled.

Both were largely self-defence, but we were very much encouraged at the time to buy into the "Chrissie Watts... MURDERER!!!" narrative in a way we've never been asked to see Linda as such.

Obviously they were always going to do it in the most stupidly camp way possible, but hey

The difference was that Zoe thought she killed him, and Chrissie intentionally finished him off when he showed signs of life. Then she instantly turned on the others instead of forming the pact.

I can’t remember much about Chrissie and Jake Moon though, nor which of those terrible gangster minions survived the Johnny Allen/Andy The Gangster killings.

I did think it was weird how Sharon referred to Keanu as “the love of my life”, when that was clearly Dennis.

Realistically Den wasn't going to stop, so you could still argue self-defence

I think they did have Chrissie acknowledge that her gang turning on each other was a key difference vs Sharon's group

Andy the Gangster was a DREADFUL era. Best left forgotten.

After being behind for nearly 2 months since the beginning of June, I've just caught up to all the fabulousness after whacking iPlayer on 2x wherever I can.

Chrissie and Zoe returning on the 40th to finish Sharon off would truly be fabulous and the death of Sharon feels like a moment worthy of a 40th.

Apparently it's gonna be a huge fire for the 40th anniversary, which I imagine they're saving their storylines for.

Fires in soaps don't interest me anymore, I hope there's a proper storyline
Literally my first thought when I read it. It's so done.

The fire will be well before the 40th though apparently so hopefully that means there's still something decent in the works.

I can't really think of any returns "big enough" for a 40th. Where do you go after you've bought back Kathy and Cindy from the dead? It's going to have to be Ronnie and Roxy. I guess they always have Danny Dyer up their sleeve.

No more bringing back from the dead

People need to let Ronnie and Roxy go

I'd say Grant is the obvious one (ignoring present rumours)

Little Mo, Zoe, Simon Wicks, and Polly the Journalist would all be headline grabbers I'd imagine.

David Wicks is confirmed, isn’t he? So with Cindy there it should be interesting.

Bring back Sanjay, Gita and Tricky Dicky.

Their reunion would be so powerful.

TOP 5 WISHLIST

01. Sanjay and Gita
02. Shirley Benson
03. Boots the Cat (the only tolerable BEYOND THE GRAVE return)
04. Belinda Slater
05. Huw and Lenny

Poor Bobby lad! My heart broke for him it really did. Cindy is such a COW! But I do understand it from her point of view too

Has she even mentioned Steven though since she came back? He died in a horrible way too

I did enjoy the little argument in the kitchen between her and Kathy waving the spatula about
