I can’t think of any other explanation at this point as her absences are always fairly sudden with a lot of quite obvious rewriting around her.

Obviously I hope she’s OK. I just feel these absences could be handled a bit better by the show.
 
At this point they need to reduce Letitia Dean’s scenes to just random cameos without a need for storyline rewrites. Almost like they did with Ethel in the 90s.
 
I can imagine it's not an easy one for producers to handle. Whilst the obvious step is to avoid writing Sharon into key plots for the foreseeable, does that expose them to HR action / discrimination claims if it's without Letitia's agreement? Fook knows
 
Eastenders has been ODD this, in particular the weak duff duffs.

The Tommy-Kat stuff was good today though. I feel like there was a good Halloween idea there somewhere, but quite followed through.
 
I did find Kats comment to Zoe odd - 'Your weird obsession with Harry' - yeah she would have some kind of 'fixation' I imagine seeing as she has come from a rapist as a father that was her Uncle? But this is all obviously to do with both of their dealings with what happened, having it been done to Kat, and for it to have 'happened' to Zoe

They always exaggerate the distance between the locations around Walford, don’t they? You could run through the square and the market in less than a minute if you wanted to.
 
There's an annoying culture of actors just taking extended breaks these days in EE and it's appalling for continuity. I mean Linda's been on a five grand cruise for about six months.
 
I wonder if EE have negotiated lower salaries in exchange for the breaks.

They don't get the viewers they did 20 years ago, so you'd assume they need to save some £££, and they definitely seem much more amenable to actors pissing off than they were in prior decades.
 
Linda already had a break around Christmas/January

Anyway i've missed last few but not much desire to catch up. I'm sick of Zoe and that cat she keeps going on about and I think shes been given a rubbish return story. You can tell someone new has taken over this show as it's all going to pot
 
I assumed Linda would return around the same time as Max for there to be a fallout over Annie. But Max’s “comeback” was just fleeting and he barely even had an interaction with Oscar and Jack. Is Max even coming back at all?

The family dynamics across so many are very messy right now.
 
What is Harvey’s purpose now, other than a random lads chat with Alfie and being the local minicab driver?

Cindy keeps pissing off (although clearly not for long with Jasmine being there).
Ian just has maybe a scene a week where he makes a sweeping judgement about a character.
Poor Chelsea has been totally sidelined and only has scenes in the wine bar.
Are Freddie and Anna even in a relationship? It was never properly established. Freddie is leaving soon, and Anna has no stories other than being present for family scenes.

I’d actually completely forgotten that George and Nicola had slept together, since she also disappeared for ages, despite being the key character who could/should have realised what was going on with Harry.

Anna is leaving shortly too so would assume she will leave with Freddie?
 
On youtube earlier through a few old clips and the domestic abuse story with Trevor and Little Mo was so good! Apart from Mandy and Trevor on Brookside (Trevor's must be evil) i'd say best soap abuse story ever. EastEnders was such a show back then
 
Yup Ainsworth is booked and blessed. No chance she's coming back to EE, although she seems still seems to follow everyone on Instagram.

There’s no way Nigel would ever have been facing prison anyway. For a first time offender, theft of vehicle and causing injury by dangerous driving would be a driving ban (when he should have his licence revoked due to his condition anyway), and a suspended sentence at the most.
 
Well at least now when they’re talking about going to prison, this is actually something for which they’d be guaranteed prison.
