Face looks familiar! Oh yes, its a younger Tom Ellis. This must have been where he met Dame Tamzin Outhwaite

This is a bit stale right now but i'll still watch

It's been obvious for a while about Elaine and Ian, it had to be going somewhere

Josh is a lot better than Jasmine who I pray to god isn't returning

Vicky is good

Suki reminds me of my mother, loves to be in control

When did that come about with George and the restaurant? Thought it was Ian's

And lastly, where the fuck is Sharon?!

The restaurant hasn’t been Ian’s for years, not since he left after spaghetti-gate.

It’s been owned by Ravi and Suki since then (until George bought it recently after Ravi ran into money trouble).

I am just catching up on the week and rather enjoyed the 60's episode, it was fun, especially Kathy and the Fox sisters as usual :disco:

This texting to Vicki is giving Zoe and the stalker vibes. please wrap it up quickly

I only watched up to the 60s episode. I've kinda faded a bit this week. The continuity is appalling atm.

Last night's episode was too much :(

Wait until you see today's. I know Eastenders lately doesn't seem to have the big episodes but I feel it's really recaptured the old style of Soap and exploring Character history and human interactions in a way that other TV shows can't do. It feels like the show is being faithful to the characters and not changing their personalities to a fit the latest storyline

It really is very well done and so sad, but I will be glad when the Nigel storyline is done now.

That's two tough watches within a week. Exactly what Eastenders should be offering.

I genuinely think the whole Nigel plot has been the best they've done in YEARS. Miserable as fook, but they've balanced it with the right moments of warmth and nostalgia, and (mostly) without bombast. Once upon a time, they wouldn't have been able to resist a SHOCK TWIST, and they'd have made a DERANGED Nigel the Anthony killer.

It's also helped that they've reserved some of their best actors for this. I still doubt she's here for the long-term, as Julie's not camp enough to ever be a favourite, but the show could certainly have worse actresses than Karen Henthorne.

It sounds UNLIKELY but

S CLUB JON is returning as Nigel's stepson for the funeral

Makes perfect sense for the plot, but honestly not someone I ever thought would be seen again

Which obscure figure is back next - Gus the binman? The Fowlers' rubbish Irish relatives? Huw but not Lenny? Boots the Cat?

Just catching up now. What a beautiful ending for Nigel :(

But now picked up by Big Mo:
“What about Julie? I know she’s northern, but I’m sure she has feelings too” :D

I think it’s a real shame Julie is leaving. Obviously it’s understandable why but I think she’s genuinely one of the best actresses in the cast.

Interesting that Denise said she had her appointment to get her results during Nigel’s wake, and now we’re 2 days past that and no scenes with Denise other than at Nigel’s funeral.
