I had the same evil Spotify Payola auto-playing this after my actual playlist (featuring ZERO Sheeran or Sheeran-adjacents so no blaming algorithms) finished today

If it happens a second time, I am deleting the app and consuming music exclusively via blowing into empty wine bottles

He usually does disproportionately well on iTunes though, doesn't he?

I've not heard it and will happily avoid it until I'm at my mum's on Sunday and she'll have commercial radio on. I give it about 15 minutes from walking in the door.
 
I’m not going to lie, I actually don’t think it’s too bad! But to be honest I wouldn’t be able to identify any of his since the one with Camilla Cabello about 7 years ago so no idea if this is better or worse than the rest.

He’s doing perfectly fine in the UK (the amount of people thinking he’s a flop on other sites because he isn’t doing his numbers from ten years ago is wild), but it looks like the album isn’t going to do terribly fantastic first week - at least on streaming, so I imagine it’ll drop off quite quickly.
