He actually had two cats with him, two separate leads and neither of them looked like they were enjoying their walk. Then a bloke arrived that we call "Jim" with his dog that we call "Wilson" (like from Friday Night Dinner). Jim is maybe mid-fifties and Wilson is a small brown Spaniel and we call them that because Jim is terrified of Wilson and Wilson knows it. If Wilson decides he doesn't want to do something Jim will just stand there and wait, sometimes for twenty minutes or more, until Wilson changes his mind. Anyway I clocked Jim and Wilson at the railings at the end of the park walking towards the entrance gate, cat bloke was halfway down the park next to the play area. As Wilson walked through the gate one of the cats hared it towards him so he turned tail back through the gate and set off running up the middle of the street opposite with Jim running behind an ever-extending lead. A blue car is driving down the street towards Wilson and I'm at the kitchen window screeching "get out of the road! there's a car coming!" and then Wilson just dropped to the ground in front of the car! He hadn't been hit though, he'd decided to just have a little lie down. Blue car bibbed his horn, Wilson just lay there, Jim was flapping his hands and shouting at the driver of blue car. Jim went to pick Wilson up, Wilson snapped at Jim's hand so Jim pulled his hand away and moved a couple of steps backward, blue car did a series of bibs on the horn, Jim again shouts something at blue car then blue car driver got out of the car, grabbed Wilson by the scruff of his neck and plonked him down on the pavement, got back in his car and drove off. Cat bloke then left the park at the other entrance. Jim and Wilson, having a little rest, were still in the same place on the corner at least fifteen minutes later when I next went into the kitchen, Jim was just watching something on his phone.
