it's an intensely winter time/Christmassy kind of record to me. but like, a really sad Christmas defined by gloom and a sense of absolute despair, spent looking into the deep black surface of the abyss... how festive!

I really am intensely in love with her voice. she communicates so much feeling. allowing her to keep her lyrics relatively simple. probably one of my top 3 vocalists overall.
