Emmerdale 2025

Does Lisa Riley wear a fat suit when she plays Mandy? As far as I know she has managed to keep the weight off since her initial massive weight loss but she looks a lot heavier onscreen when playing Mandy?

I can't tell. She does look like she's shrunk a bit though.

Sorry I meant I can't tell if she's wearing a fat suit or not, that seems to be a no-no these days. I did think she lost far too much too quickly after Strictly though.

You can see that she is still a lot slimmer than she was previously so maybe she has just gained a bit of weight again. She has been back a few years now though, and I remember thinking when she first appeared that she looked like she had put on a bit of weight quickly as she was very slim prior to going back and doesn’t seem to have gained anymore. WHO KNOWS?

Mandy is my favourite character by a country mile in this. I always loved Kim but I think she is a bit of a damp squib recently.

I'm thinking it'll be like when we all thought Tim was dead in Coronation St. He needs to be part of the whose Charity's baby daddy.

Yeah I'm not convinced he's actually dead yet. It could be like the Corrie's plot, where John's character in that was locked up by Phelan for months when we all thought he had killed him.

Chas & Moira really need to look in their own back yards before they demonize others!

Really loving this John storyline. But one thing that was really stupid is that Aaron had Macks phone, realising that Mack was up to no good & didn't ring anyone for help. Baffling.

It's bad news for Mack however, who I suspect will now be consigned forever to his new role of PERPETUALLY SAD TRAGIC MARTYR, now that the show has plenty of cover for his previous role of "wise cracking rogue".

The whole Dr Todd plot has been STRANGE and I suspect there's been some rewrites along the way. She was introduced as part of a solemn "issue-based" story about workplace bullying. And somewhere they realised it wasn't landing because her victim (Jacob) was genuinely doing incompetent things. So suddenly she's moved out of the workplace altogether and into Charity's orbit instead, and becomes a moustache-twirling cartoon villain. It's given Emma Atkins some great material but it all feels a bit silly.

She's dead, love.
