One of my favorite R&B songs of all time. The first time I heard it was as a snippet on a female r&b/soul compilation ad on TV.

Excuse me for being a bit stupid, can someone please add a poll to this..1-10 rate. :shy:

I can't add a poll, but 'My Lovin' is so out there!

Fantastic sassy girl group.

I haven't listened to this in an AGE. Prefer the soundtrack version to the single version, slightly less produced.

Bonus points because it's En Vogue, but it's a bit MOR and I HATE HATE HATE the electric guitar signature. Surprised, having refreshed my memory, that this isn't a staple of SUICIDE FM or whatever they call the easy-listening radio frequencies these days.

TEN, easily, majestic is the word I'd use to describe this.

It is the SINGLE MOST AMAZING SONG EVER MADE

I love the piano intro then the guitar bursts in then the drums

THEN THE VOX :disco:

OVERSINGING MADNESS

If I could wear your clothes
I'd pretend I WAS YOU

And LOOOOOSE... CONTROL :disco:

that makes you a bad person.

:D

Wasn't there Whole Again-style but with a budget, an earlier exact same video but with the one with the big tits who left, then they reshot it? Maybe I imagined it. And yeah, there were two slightly different versions.

I exaggerated my rating a bit, but this never really did anything for me much as I like En Vogue.. found it weird it was such a big hit, maybe cause it was so MOR. It's fine but not one I care for much.

I still like Hold On best

DON'T waste your TIME
FIGHTING LIFE

This song is absolutely amazing. It was one of those lovely smash hits that came from absolutely nowhere also, and was so big because the song was so great, I think En Vogue had been written off a little bit before they released this (and sadly they pretty much were completely after this was a hit) so this was a bit of a shock success.

Can somebody nice g the really good version for me please? Its the version with the piano intro and a different outro (also with a piano). Its proper great.

Oh, and pres, I have the CD single, I'll look for it and get the mixes for you STAT

By STAT I do mean it could well be a couple of days.

But you'll get 'em.

OH SHUT UP, it isn't that good.

To this day, remains the best modern R&B song that there is.

It actually couldn't BE any better.

Easily in my Top Ten songs of all time; almost certainly in the Top 5; quite possibly in the Top 3.

It's just THAT GOOD

I'm going through ANOTHER En Vogue phase at the moment

I still think, even objectively, there are very few pop songs from the last 15 years that top this.

it is INDESCRIBABLY good.

This is in my top 3 favourite songs of all time. I can remeber seeing the video on the Album Chart Show - remember that program on ITV, a bit before CD:UK came along?

As soon as I heard it I was just :disco: I was only 8 at the time! :o

And when I heard Mutya and Siobhan sung this as their showcase track which got them signed to London records, it makes me love it even more.

SO IS THIS!

I was just youtubing this and saw this amazing comment underneath

Little Mix absolutely owned it. They were brilliant with this song. I am not saying En Vogue are bad, you joker. They are very very good. I have alot of time for their vocals and their music but they ain't up to the standard of Little Mix on this.

The DLG(L) songwriter joining in on the pile on was rather tasteless if you ask me, but evidently some people just can't resist that kind of "daily" behaviour. She's fallen down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole and I had to unfollow. Maxine joining the original 2 + Rhonda must sting a little.

Wait is Maxine back with the trio?

They had a major falling out about a decade ago when they tried to sue each other (don’t think it went anywhere) but Maxine hasn’t been with them since.
