Enya as featured artist - samples, remix misc

I saw it on YouTube but was put off by the clip haha
thankfully it's on Soundcloud โ˜๏ธ ๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿช„

I don't know what the vocal repeated thing is, but otherwise I love this newly-found remix ๐Ÿ’—

Haha that one's been everywhere in the past few months :D I remember random people singing the song when I was in primary/elementary school

Not sure if the original song (Runaway Love by Ludacris ft. Mary J. Blige) has a Moopy thread but, sad song ๐Ÿฅฒ and the music video seems more 90s than 2006, but maybe that's the upscale haha.

Amazingly I discovered it through this (mashup with Enya -Boadicea of course) ๐Ÿ’™

This one (I'm not sure if I've shared it here before) is one of my all-time favourite Boadicea remixes. It reminds me of the early 2010s (2010-11). ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒŒ

Some mashup I uploaded (with that hold music, both iconic ) almost a year and a half ago:

 ๐Ÿ“ž โธ๏ธ ๐ŸŽถ

I was listening to some random remixes, but the calm piano instrumentals found their way to me again ๐Ÿค— ๐ŸŽน ๐ŸŒธ ๐Ÿฉต ๐ŸŽถ

I was re-recommended (already watched and liked) this Scottish Widows Orinoco Flow mix :D ๐ŸŒŠ ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ‘๏ธโ€๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ

I heard this a couple of days ago, quite cool (22s for the main tune, and I like the way the rhythm has been reworked) ๐Ÿช„

I actually really like when decent extended remixes are made featuring the lesser-heard Enya album tracks, often in Irish or Latin.

This one, despite disliking dubstep generally, I think this sounds fascinating:

Also fascinating is how that 2012 remix works so well for this random 2026 clip โœจ

I wonder if Enya knew about this version of Storms in Africa for the trailer (up to 1:34) ๐Ÿ˜…

From 1992 article, mentioned in quotes thread

(The song was in the film, as well as her instrumentals River and Watermark. ๐Ÿค—)

I've not watched Green Card but the idea is interesting; I get why Enya would particularly like, or even relate to it โ˜บ๏ธ

Not a remix but a compilation/evolution video ๐Ÿช„ ๐ŸŽถ mostly in order (but Exile is 1988 with 1991 video, that Oรญche Chiรบin video is 1995, plus Watermark is not a 2021 track :eyes: and Dreams was not by someone called Donegal :D )
I'm surprised to have only just found this today ๐Ÿ˜… I enjoyed the order of the first few, and that Trains and Winter Rains was not forgotten ๐Ÿ˜Š

Not bad ๐ŸŽตโ›ต๐Ÿช„ though I wish they used Enya's vocals on it instead

Nah there are worse AI songs :D

A few new Soundcloud picks

Nice beats/bass :disco:

:D at how it starts with Moya's lovely bit from Harry's Game then bursts into this mix with higher pitched Enya humming Boadicea

I like the picture and that the vocal timing, though not perfect, has been edited interestingly. ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿช„ ๐ŸŽถ

I found out that Akon sampled Enya's 'Boadicea' in 2022, but I checked Spotify and noticed that Enya isn't credited. Why is that?
I knew that Akon sampled her as well; I quite like it

but I'm not sure, I didn't realise that Enya wasn't credited either :(

Maybe he got rights from Metro Boomin's sample (which he had to approve through Enya) ๐Ÿ˜…

(This is from the official music video)

How are Enya and her team overlooking this?,
Not sure ๐Ÿ˜… but I was thinking of another possible scenario: maybe Metro Boomin (a relatively lesser-known, less wealthy artist) got the sample/interpolation sorted through Akon paying Enya ๐Ÿค” Maybe in return, that permitted Akon to use Enya as a sample without needing major royalties to Enya on Enjoy That (which was a smaller/less well-known track compared to Creepin'). (I don't know that well about how it all works though ๐Ÿ˜…)

Anyway, I hope Enya got paid for this track. ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ˜…

Not a remix but a compilation/evolution video ๐Ÿช„ ๐ŸŽถ [...]

Another one of these with surprisingly few views, not spot-on (possibly put together with AI pinching old fan-made video clips) but a lot better with the release years and stats. ๐ŸŽถ

(plus the interview segment at the beginning is from 1996:-) ๐ŸŒŸ

This released 12 hours ago seems popular!

I love some of those vocal effects  ๐ŸŽต ๐Ÿช„

Really good with the beats and sound in general, though I wish Enya's vocal blended into it better, rather than that segment on its own that gives the live version ๐Ÿ˜… (which isn't terrible, but doesn't have much of a 'full' sound) โ™ก

I realised this Boadicea remix was from 4 years ago (only last year for Soundcloud)

A bit longer here:

It's rather groovy (something 70s about it but modern at the same time) :disco:
:enya:

Both pitched up (Enya humming Boadicea; this thankfully gets rid of the Diddy rap) ๐ŸŽต

I like how this (1:13) uses the other lovely segment of Boadicea that hardly anyone keeps when they sample. โ˜บ๏ธ

A couple of others (the first is longer but they did some preview). Also I thought this was going to be a Lazy Days (the epic Enya song) remix :D

This from a few months ago, relistened a few times

Also this Caribbean Blue one is rather nice ๐Ÿฉต

Unfortunately because there are loads of AI-generated songs/AI singer covers now (both YouTube and Soundcloud) and no real filter to exclude them in searches, it makes finding a genuine new remix trickier. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

My ASFM (A Song For Moopy) recent entry:

(3:52 for Enya singing โ™ก)

I later discovered it on the site Beatport (sample which kindly includes Enya's segment ๐Ÿ’™)

Found it through WhoSampled :D
โ™ก

:enya: โ™ฅ๏ธ

Also I am hosting the next ASFM contest; @Enya Dearest you are free to join in too! ๐Ÿ˜Š It involves choosing an avatar (any picture to a theme), entering a song, and eventually allocating points to your top 10 (12 points, 10, 8-1). There will be song and avatar themes which I will reveal in an upcoming thread on the main forum.

Interesting to hear Even In The Shadows as a remix/mashup:

Some other good ones I found today:

 ๐ŸŽถ

Finally I've listened to Enya speak on cassette ๐Ÿคฉ "รณir thug sรฉ ordu dรก aingil i do thaobh..." (spoken segment from Never Get Old, on Sinรฉad O'Connor's The Lion and the Cobra).

๐Ÿ˜Š

Very expensive album on CD, so instead I waited to find an affordable cassette and got it earlier this month. ๐Ÿ’™ I wouldn't say these are go-to songs, but interesting first half. I could imagine Enya on the song Just Like U Said It Would B, backing vocal or something.

I'd like Enya to speak/narrate in one of her own songs; I think it would work.
:enya:
Like the beginning/end of Exile for L.A. Story could've been her speaking instead (draft here) โ™ก

To be honest she'd be better at it than Nat's Algorithm ๐Ÿ˜… (it is a creative song though) :

Do you like to fine dine? โ™๏ธ Drink a fine red wine...๐Ÿท:D
