No.

I mean, we should beat Ukraine and then Denmark or Czech Repubic. Should being the operative word, given we usually fuck up great chances.

But I can't see us beating Belgium, Italy or Spain in the final. But we'd be at home, so who knows.
 
Gotta be honest, I thought that lineup from Southgate was a misstep but it was a fairly assured win in the end. Keeping it tight and punishing any mistakes isn't particularly sexy but it does seem to be working for us so far.

On the whole, really enjoyed the round of 16 ties... last night's games were EPIC

Only becuase of our easy route to the final. If we swapped positions in the draw with Belgium, they'd be even stronger favourites.

Or to put it another way, if we get through to the final, we won't be favourites to win that game. Unless it's Switzerland.
 
I can honestly see the country going progressively insane and us making it to the final before losing to Belgium.

This is the exact same way I feel. Everyone going on about how we’ve basically just got to turn up is ignoring the final- which is going to be against a team better than us.

I do think it’s our best chance in a long time and I do like that Southgate has already recognised the danger in complacency brought about by the media/ public. But even if we do (as we “should”) get to the final, that is an uphill struggle at the least.
 
I don't think Ukraine will be easy to beat, unfamiliar stadium, very few English supporters in the crowd and possible travel fatigue might go against us.
 
Nobody who reaches the quarter finals will be easy to beat.

Ukraine got through their group stage having lost 2 matches. Denmark likewise. Czech Republic lost one and drew one, and we've already beaten them.

We should beat them all. But it won't be easy and anything can happen.
 
They’ve booed them all so far, haven’t they? :(

To be fair, I’ve also noticed it in other, non-England games too, albeit not quite on the same level.
