Euro 2020

Rubbish for Scotland but we still have 2 of the home nations in England and Wales.

As long as you don’t concede any, that’ll work.

They will need to play a lot better than this from now on.

APPARENTLY (correct me if I am wrong) Portugal went through the last Tournament without winning a match apart from the Final? My son said something like this but I was only half listening so probably picked him up wrong.

I’ve just checked and they drew all their group games. They won four knock out games, two after extra time and one on penalties. The semi final was the only one of the seven games that they won in 90 minutes.

They drew all their group matches, got through as a high ranked third place team, then got through after extra time, then penalties, then won the semi (in normal time), and won the final after extra time.

That's mad!

3 mins injury time here... An annoying Czech slipped in last minute starting to look more LIKELY!

(Not being negative, just trying to reverse-jinx it :disco:)

This is English footballing heritage. We're going to win the tournament by shit-housing 1-0 wins like Greece in 2004.

You’d imagine the Croatian players will be staying well away from the Scots at the end of their game in case there are any more surprise COVID positives to come.

It wouldn’t surprise me if ALL THE SCOTS tested positive tomorrow.

Here's a positive: England played their best game of the three tonight. Czechs looked less likely to score than Scotland or Croatia. And we played some decent football. Saka was outstanding.

And what is it with us hitting the post in the first 20 mins?!

France win Germany win = we play Germany
France win Germany draw = we play Germany
France win Germany lose = we play Hungary
France draw Germany Win = we play France
France draw Germany draw = we play Germany
France draw Germany lose = we play Portugal
France lose Germany win = we play Portugal
France lose Germany draw = we play France
France lose Germany lose = We play France or Hungary, depending on scores.

I just needed write that out because it was going in circles in my head. Playing Hungary is stupidly unlikely, but surprisingly, playing portugal is fairly unlikely too given the two scenarios that would need.

England vs Germany in the second round seems most likely. And actually, i'd be okay with that. I think we could do it.

and if we got through that, it's a likely Sweden in the QF and Holland in SF. That's not a bad route at all.

Nothing is funnier than UEFA laying egg after egg after egg with each new decision/statement re: THE RAINBOW.

What's stopping Germany just doing it anyway?

Well, the City of Munich doesn't own Allianz Arena - so it's not up to, say, the Mayor, to make the final call. And he has indicated that he very much would if it was up to him. This is where the DFB would need to really step up.

But at least Urban has cancelled his trip over here. STAY GONE, EVIL.

Even the DFB wouldn't be able to do it, given that the stadia are fully handed over to UEFA's custody for the length of the tournament.

It's just astonishing that UEFA consider lighting up the stadium to support Pride to be a political act whereas refusing to do so isn't.

Have they taken a stand against the completely non-political homophobia of the Hungarian fans or is that fine because it wasn’t rainbow shaped?

Manuel Neuer to strip on field and reveal rainbow body paint and pants please.

Thankfully Spain have gotten their act together.

I've predicted them to progress far into the competition.

Thank God Spain woke up and we're still in this, can't wait to go to the supermarket every time we play.
