What should the EBU do?

  • Keep calm and carry on

    Votes: 2 7.1%

  • Hold the Contest in May via Satellite Link-Up from National Studios

    Votes: 6 21.4%

  • Delay until later in the year

    Votes: 16 57.1%

  • Cancel and hold 2021 in Rotterdam (Possibly with the same artists/songs)

    Votes: 2 7.1%

  • JUST SCRAP THE WHOLE BLOODY THING

    Votes: 1 3.6%

  • Host the Contest in Rotterdam in May but with no/minimal Audience

    Votes: 1 3.6%

They should give them the option to use the same songs, I can't see why not.
 
It wasn't a classic lineup of songs tbh, I'd be happy with a fresh set.
 
Having to either forgo these songs, or NF season 2021, is honestly the biggest Sophie's Choice.

One compromise could be that if a broadcaster wants to reuse a song next year, they have until (say) the end of March to completely remove the song from Youtube, Spotify, general release etc. Then it can go live again sometime later in the year in the 2021 contest window.
 
It would be a bit boring to have the same songs, well over a year old... I think they should keep the artists though, and give them a chance to stick or twist

I feel like that would be very pedantic - they’re out there, let’s just learn to love them over the course of this year
 
I think I'd rather keep the entire set of songs for 2021. Just to prove to everyone that the awful Icelandic thing isn't the "winner that never was"
 
Let’s just do it in December in Poland and tell Junior Eurovision kids to fuck off, the make sure Poland win so they can switcheroo with Netherlands next year.

or Rotterdam can host in 2022 after Dami wins in 2021
 
Even though I hate it obviously it is kind of funny that a friend of mine who is always a fan of flop countries like Lithuania, Switzerland and Iceland was over the moon with the way things were looking. He is FURIOUS.

or just do them all from 2010 onwards?

it’s a shame 2008 & 9 aren’t on there, I feel like Russia birthed the modern era scale-wise (and 2008 was just great)
 
I am actually quite sad about this. Although I do not really follow all the build up it has probably been my favourite day on Moopy for the past few years. It really is just so much fun.

You suggested it - I say you can pick. We're going to have the opportunity to get through quite a few.

I'd say we just need to consider when is the best time, if the hope is we are all watching at the same time.

i guess that’s the issue, at least with me doing anything about it. I’m 9 time zones ahead of most of you

I would think that’s a GIVEN in this current climate. It will all be repeats of Dads Army, and bugger all else on live tv within no time. :(
 
CREASED UP that they are getting rid of the SHITTY SONGS rather than having a one- off rule change NO ONE would have minded
 
I still think they could have done SOMETHING though. Use the existing songs somehow this year.

Time to catch up with some fabulous realities you can watch online, trash tv is what we need now.

Oh I'm sure something, even unofficial will occur. Too many people are invested for the whole thing to pass.

I'm not sure they're online for streaming, but you can easily find the episodes in torrents, if you use it. I can find out if interested.
