Eurovision Rewatch: A Song For Europe 1991(21:30 BST 21/04) (1 Viewer)

I didn’t think I could imagine a cross between Michael Ball, David Bowie and Danny La Rue

YET HERE WE ARE

Malcolm Roberts was actually AT Eurovision in 1985, representing Luxembourg of all nations, along with a bunch of 5 other singers. The song they sang is one of the worst songs to ever compete at Eurovision.
Worse than THIS?

Probably not. It is a Ralph Siegel song called Children, Kinder, Enfants. It's AWFUL but in a more fun way I guess. This 91 song is just SHITE.
We'll have to look out for that when we rewatch Eurovision 1985 in the early hours of Sunday 10 May. Who says we can't plan anything?

seriously, how long did they spending scrunching their hair in the early 90s?

I'm not sure who told her that the mauve gloves were a good idea.

Working in Morrisons - let it never be said the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

I mean it really looked like her, post child murders obviously, right down to acting well, suspiciously like a child murderer in hiding...I think it was found out her identity was discovered NOT LONG AFTER and she was subsequently moved, but I could have fabricated that. Must google!

At least, they don't have John Barrowman saying that all of the songs are 'SO EUROVISION' at this stage. We should be grateful for small mercies.

A favourite of who? :zombie:

What did the fans DO back in 1991? Did they correspond by POSTCARD?

There were TWO fan clubs back then, OGAE UK which is still going, and Eurovision Network which ended in the late 90s. I didn't join either until 1993 though. They had conventions and everything back then, not much has really changed.

The quarterly magazines was how I got my Eurovision news back in the day! :D

She's a look of Tracie Andrews about her. It's the demented eyes. Don't change the radio station when she's in the passenger seat or you'll get a tire iron where the sun doesn't shine.
