Execute the Royal Mail Thursday

After a ridiculously busy few weeks, I feel rather at a loss today. Trying to sort out a few parcels, letters and deliveries but stumbling at the first block waiting for a Father's Day redelivery.

Popped down to the allotment today, deffos needs a good day of weeding but harvested blueberries, strawberries, redcurrants, red gooseberries and some radishes. Just had all the fruit with some greek yoghurt and it was sexual. Especially the gooseberries.

Well the Royal Mail has 47 minutes to deliver my snazzy Glasgow Warriors top before I meet a friend to the gym - I wanted to wear it to training this evening and look the part whilst ploughing into people. I'll be gutted if I'm going in my usual gear.

Just back from the inhaler nurse. I've to increase my puffs from once, twice daily to twice, twice daily. Turns out I'm on a low dosage. That's great, but I've had this issue almost a year and the last inhaler had no effect, I'm just super miffed I would be given a low dosage for my 2nd attempt as it were. I'm on a waiting list for a respiratory department (I think that was the name - I find it hard to catch what people say sometimes and end up just agreeing to keep the momentum going - what could possibly go wrong with that?) Failing all that, I've to make another appointment in 6 weeks time. Health is wealth? I feel bankrupt :D

Is the one they've upped the dosage on a preventer inhaler (the brown one, mine is Clenil Modulite)? Have you also got blue inhalers (reliever)? Why has it taken them a year, you can die from an asthma attack?!

Was given a blue one (no effect), now taking a pink one. I still hope it isn't asthma, but another symptom I described she says is typical. I'm too old to be getting this. Bringing my blue one to training just in case.

Anyway my top arrived - that's the main thing!

I spent the best part of twenty five years using inhalers but not really believing I had asthma because it was originally diagnosed when, aged around thirty, I said I coughed at night and my chest was a bit wheezy. Had an asthma attack a year or so ago and literally thought my time was up, it was terrifying, the blue inhaler brought me back from the brink.

That being said; my gran had asthma, my mum has asthma, my siblings have asthma, my daugher has asthma and so does the granddaughter. I was always going to get it and all the years of smoking delicious fags probably didn't/don't help.

the thing I like most about cocktails is all of them and everything.

Okay, definitely noted. I managed an evening of tackling in mud and getting covered, but was definitely at my limit. I guess getting older includes realising your limitations and adjusting.
