Continuing with this as the other two polls got some traction and because the material remains very strong. You can choose up to FIVE as I’m feeling kind.

Although ‘The Power Of Good-Bye’ was the focus, it was a double A side hence the inclusion of ‘Little Star’. I was reluctant to include ‘Popular’ but it is attributed to her stats on the Official Charts so I’ve put it in.

I always had a soft spot for The Look Of Love but remember talk of her bubble having burst when it was her lowest charting single in yonks.

Also voted for Drowned World, Deeper And Deeper and had to play Jump, Get Together and The Power Of Good-Bye back to back to pick the last two so it was Get Together that just missed out.

Was difficult not voting for TPOG, Bad Girl or Look of Love, but went with Deeper and Deeper, Rain, DWSFL, WIFLFAG, and Get Together.

This is actually tougher than the higher charters

Rain, What It Feels Like, Nothing Really Matters, Human Nature - IMAGINE not being able to give those votes

Victoria Cross medal for the first brave soul to vote Popular!

I don't get the Give it 2 Me hate - I love it!
Power of Goodbye and Get Together are the best for moi

I quite like it too, especially the “you’re only here to win” section but the competition here is too tough.

I liked her dance she did for it too - think it was at the Radio 1 Big Weekend thingy she did in...MAIDSTONE!

It's borderline unpleasant in terms of production.

This was horrific. Sacrificing Deeper & Deeper, Bad Girl, Rain, You Must Love Me for the Ray of Light singles (was Little Star a double-A with TPOG?), Jump and the ultimate in cunty *door slam* Human Nature.

Deeper & Deeper
I’ll Remember
Rain
The Power Of Goodbye
Nothing Really Matters

A very special mention to Human Nature, Drowned World, Get Together and Jump who deserve better than my lack of votes.

Difficult to choose between Rain, Drowned World, Nothing Really Matters and Jump for my last one…I went for Rain even though I really dislike the single remix. But the album version is gorgeous.

I’m assuming she wrote the majority of the lyircs to Drowned World (Substitute For Love) going by the content, definitely some of her best writing right there if so.

I've done a CHANGE because while I love her delivery on Another Suitcase I did feel voting for both Evita songs was overkill and it's not even hers :D

It came down to Rain and I'll Remember which I consider very together as they feel similar and like they're catering to the same audience. Went for I'll Remember, which while more schmaltzy and safe than the former I just can't deny the optimistic strength of it.

I voted for BOTH, so I guess I’m that girl.

I was interested to see how Bad Girl, Rain and I’ll Remember would fare against each other in this and it’s close as expected. I think Bad Girl might be my fave these days, I like the other two for about half the song then get a wee bit bored by them.

I’m sure it’s a bit problematic in the cold light of 2025, but God the video for Nothing Really Matters was so iconic at the time.

3,000 RuPaul’s Drag Race girls can’t be wrong!

I prefer just about all the ROL singles to TPOG but that’s more of a testament to their collective strength than a knock on TPOG

I have The Power of Good-Bye sequenced right after Life Is A Flower on my current driving playlist and it's being occurring to me how spoiled we truly were that year. It's also one of the 3 RoL singles I bought alongside the title track and NRM. As I'm going for radio edits to decide my votes, sadly NRM isn't one of my picks, but most of us all now know how iconic the Club69 remix is and how it immaculately activated our jaws to fall to the floor on the Celebration tour. TLoL is deceptively subtle - it's actually really lush and rich, probably a victim of not having a proper video or parent album to render it iconic in the way we all know the middle 8 of True Blue is, etc. I'll Remember left a trail for Robyn to follow, Deeper & Deeper spirals like ribbons into a 'Donna Summer dance off with Deee-Lite' fantasia, Rain I'm convinced was the target for Kyle's exquisite Put Yourself In My Place (which was second here), and Drowned World - so precious, tender and desperate to survive and conquer a world she created, dictates and surrenders to with either plaintive powerlessness or pondering playfulness (it's a testament to the turnaround she had that she got such a number on the radio here). For me, Madge, Moby and Air really nailed it with their on trend sonics being so ubiquitous at this time - it's really hard not to just be instantly transported when any of these songs are played somewhere.
