Written and directed by Billy Wilder, about a Hollywood hustler, played by William Holden, who visits a retired reclusive film star in an attempt to coax her back into the movies...

but THAT is where the similarity with Sunset Boulevard ends (including the quality )

I have to say though I really did enjoy this as piece of absurd camp old NONSENSE which takes itself super seriously and is almost like a Substance prototype.

Highly recommended
