So that’s your lot! You’ve now heard all the songs competing in Festival Di Soldi 2020, live from the East Midlands! You can vote (for both semis of course) using the 1-12 Eurovision point system, via PM obviously. The top 12 songs from each show will qualify to Friday the 12th’s grand final in a special results show next Thursday. Remember, if you’re competing you MUST vote in the semi-final you’re competing in, otherwise you’ll be deducted 58 points.

Voting for the first semi-final closes on Wednesday 10th June at 12pm, voting for tonight’s semi-final closes on Thursday 11th June at 12pm.

Thanks Soldi! It was a much more interesting round tonight, although I still think my favourite song is in the other semi.

I'll go audio only for my next few listens, then send in the votes from the West Midlands via smoke signal.
 
I haven't voted in that one yet either and I'm worried I'll mix them all up. But I don't WANT to listen to much of semi 1, I just want to play this one again!
 
Just listened to the Spotify playlist. What the actual fuck? It seems most people saw Alla’s success in the last competition and decided to enter a left of centre song. Too much actual actual fucking shite here. Literally most of this is unlistenable, and most of those songs that are a bit more normal are bland. A massive step down from A Song For Moopy.
 
Haiti - Umm. It's okay, i guess. Might be one of those songs i put on the backburner in case i run out of stuff to give points.
Slovakia - Might get points for the ridiculous instrumental bit at about a minute. Dull otherwise.
The Moon - What even is this. A Japanese man with the vocal style of Gary Barlow? The chorus is a bit more interesting i guess.
RZAM - Yes please. I'll have a pint of that please.

I think that happened last time with a few songs, and vice versa.

Listening on spotify will change it up some. I mean the Asian screaming noise band was enthralling PERFORMANCE ART but is it actually listenable? (Almost certainly yes :disco:)

I thought this was one the strongest rounds we've had in a long time! But then I quite like left of centre.

Syria - Is 5 seconds too soon to skip a song? Maaaybe. Oh well.
Ethiopia - Well, it's more exciting than Syria.
Lyon - Well i'm not listening to all of THAT. I was quite enjoying the beat until the words came in.
Comoros - Well, it's more exciting than Syria.
 
Japan - ha. Well that's interesting. Also, HOW MANY JAPANESE ENTRIES!?
Guyana - That's got to be 90's right? It's alright but i left the decade for a reason. Mostly due to time.
ST&P - That's.. alright, i guess. Not sure what those vocals are but the music is at least nice.
Belgium - WHO DOESN'T LOVE SYNTHENTIC WIGS? I don't like the song but i'm happy to give it points for our shared love of sythentic wigs.
