Pitchfork & Mercury Music darlings but enough about their un-appealing qualities - this, their 2nd album, is pretty fantastic. Irish post-punk apparently, but to me I can hear echoes of The Smiths, The Strokes, The Pixies and it's all brilliant to my ears.

OMG I love it! It's such a great album.

The ridiculous big ballad No is probably my fave. It would probably be top 5 smash if it was the 90s.



(and as a sucker for blue eyes/brown hair, the singer is lip quiveringly BEAUTIFUL!)

I haven't listened to them before and a quick play of No confirms that they're not my thing oh at all but his strong dUblin accent is refreshing/amusing.
