with Southampton and Leicester to go back down but Ipswich to stay up. Forest and Fulham will do alright but Everton will have a nightmare season.

stunning how quickly United have entered Ten Hag crisis mode :D they were dreadful! except one ten minute spell in the second where they looked likelier to score but... couldn't. the manager might not be there by Christmas but the crisis at United is here to stay

I love how they had an awful 23-24, then scrape an FA Cup win and suddenly everything is rosy and Ten Hag gets a new contract on account of that one trophy. The club is a total shambles - in a more competitive division they would be in serious danger of relegation.
 
Palaceare having an absolute nightmare of a start to the season. I don't recall them being in the relegation spots for a long time.

well now I'm not so sure. two draws. enough to buy him time until the next international break?

United don't have any system at all, it's crazy to watch. I wonder how he's trying to coach them. I feel like the players probably just don't believe in the manager or find him very engaging, so they're not giving it everything. in season three at United he really should be delivering something worth watching. but who else?

but United's comic relief era isn't ending anytime soon. what do the fans think of Ruben Amorim's likely appointment as manager this week? paging @Soldi

I just don't get why he'd want the job. yes the money will be good and moving from the Primeira Liga to the Prem is a great upgrade for the resumé, but united are such a poisoned chalice. the individual quality of their players is really really crap. the squad as a whole is comparable to Crystal Palace or West Ham, not Newcastle or Villa or Chelsea.

Ineos have absolutely no winning record in any of their many other sporting investments. the highest Nice have finished under them is 5th (currently 8th in Ligue 1). United's club structure seems a disaster, the women's team are being shown no respect, the stadium roof is leaking, the players rarely give more than 50%, there won't be much money to spend in January because successive managers have spunked so much already on bad deals, none of the A-list managers available this year have shown any interest in the job...

like why bother? it's a CV killer.

City losing two in a row in the league. Newcastle beating Forest right now and Villa losing to Liverpool - if Arsenal can go to Stamford Bridge and smash the blues today we're back in business. but every game until Christmas is must win.

Ødegaard is starting and it's looking like our best 11 :disco: however we need goals
 
really looking forward to see Arsenal v Viktor Gyökeres tonight. 33 goals in his last 25 games :o
