Football 25-26

is this good or bad? the top two still go up directly?

Top two still go up automatically, but potentially the 8th placed team can now get the final promotion spot, and the EFL aren't even trying to pretend it's not just a cash grab to bundle in more televisable fixtures.

Good for the EFL, less good for the Premier who may possibly take in Championship mid-tablers.

can't wait for Tudor to explain it was to be expected because Spurs are shit in defence, midfield and attack, unintelligent, unfit, and have a loser mentality

I don’t think that Tudor will be sacked as soon as this game finishes. I think he’ll be sacked at half time.

this would be too much of a Marinakis sabotaging Forest move but I'm here for it. they should do it in the tunnel - live managerial sackings are the next frontier in Sky's football coverage :disco:

as an arsenal fan despite being technically very good we are utterly PAINFUL to watch with regards to any attacking play

i watch it utterly unconvinced that we will score

Everton are very hard to play under David Moyes. They play deep and let the opposition wear themselves out with passing that’s hard to translate into anything.

That said this is the one time I’ll happily take an Everton loss. Arsenal need to hold their nerve now and must win this title.

I actually thought we were pretty good today. Everton are indeed rock solid. they had everyone camped out behind the ball so what can you do? moments of magic were needed and we got 'em. the sheer nerviness of that extra time and the euphoria even before Max put the goal away... :disco: incredible!

Hammers holding City to a draw is the cherry on top. I feel good about this now.

Senegal were cunts but they won 1-0 - how can you now say Morocco won 3-0? :D

Spurs now in pole position for 18th after an ass whooping by Forest. :disco:

Carabao Cup final here we go. no Eze for Arsenal. praying for a great game

Not that I wanted either of these teams to win but you just have to laugh.

cannot believe that half an hour after HT where we simply didn't play any football. ugh!!!

Ugarte getting two yellow cards and NOT being sent off??? :D

Thank goodness that was a friendly.

I've only just realised Palace are in the Europa Conference semi finals. Since they'll probably finish 12th again do I dare to dream?

they seem to be having an unlikely late season renaissance so why not! sending Glasner (and Wharton) on his way with a trophy would be lovely

do I dare to dream Arsenal can even grab a goal at the Etihad on Sunday? no.

Congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Premier League.

it ain't over til it's over! City have the more gruelling run in by far. but Arsenal do appear to have shit the bed. I just hope it doesn't end equal on points with them winning on fucking goal difference.

And at the other end of the table it looks like a straight fight between Spurs and West Ham now :disco:

Wouldn't mind if Burnley randomly put in a generational defensive performance against City this week.

just think! that'll be Spurs a year from now
I am fully expecting Sheffield United to finish third (a point behind Burnley) next season only to lose the play-off final to eighth placed Spurs.

Gagging at Leicester going from Premier League champions to BROMLEY AWAY within a decade

I'm actually quite sad for them

I would be less sad to see Spurs suffer that same fate

The same year Coventry get promoted as well. Fun times in the Midlands
