Another great entry in the hazy, subdued 80s-influenced pop songs of 2015 canon.

I can't help wonder how much better it would be if it had Sophie Ellis-Bextor wrapping her rhomboid elocuted vowels around the synths but I quite like it anyway, whatever. Other than the bit where she says "these" where you expect "this" and it sounds like she's putting on some sort of bizarre French accent.

This puts me off her a bit... I like some of the songs but her 'too cool' posing and affected accent really gets my GOAT.

This reached a peak with that eyeball-gouging jazzy Don't Stop Me Now for Doctor Who. HATED everything about that.

Yet somehow at the time I loved Kate Nash, who is certainly guilty of that too, except maybe swap "I'm cool" with "I'm, like, a real girl yeah?"
