Good morning!

I'm out of the loop on national flower delivery companies. Which is the best to use?
 
I wouldn't use one of the big chains if you're looking for something that isn't thrown together in 5 minutes and chucked at the door by a disgruntled Evri driver. Try looking up an independent florist in the area you're sending it to and seeing if they do local deliveries.
 
If they need to be letterbox flowers I had some from Next last week that bloomed gorgeously once they'd been in the vase a couple of days and lasted nearly a fortnight. I called them Ikea flowers because they arrived in a very thin flat box and I had to assemble them myself. For bouquets I'll always use an Interflora shop near to where they'll be delivered, more expensive but worth it.

If you're sending them to the hospital you should check whether they'll be allowed, our local hospital don't let patients have flowers.

Got very very pissed last night on red wine, I haven't been this hungover for ages.
 
Another vote for Bloom and Wild. You may be able to google a discount code as well.

Thanks @floppet. What are letterbox flowers? Are they flower buds in a jiffy bag?

I will definitely check out Next though, thank you. And @big ron 's suggestion of Bloom & Wild.

A mastectomy is day surgery these days in the majority of cases. So she'll be home later today.
 
Letterbox just means they come packed to fit through one, in case you can't guarantee someone being in to take delivery.
 
I've received letterbox flowers before, they're OK but a bit squished.

Interflora will take the order and allocate to a local florist.

I ought to look as well. I tried in mid November last year and they only had crap slots left.
 
I used Bloom and Wild. A lovely bouquet will be arriving for her tomorrow.

The message I included was "Sorry I haven't been there for you as much as I should have been this year. But I had to get myself better so that I can be there for you in the future. I love you, Nancy xxx"

That's the first time I've said "I love you" to my Mum since I was a little boy. Phew!

Still absolutely hanging. I've done zero work all day bar going and picking up some printing from town.
 
Trying to stay sober this September. Tonight is a real test. I'll have no regrets tomorrow morning, but it's like an itch I can't shift right now. Was very well behaved and bought a pack of colas with the Tesco dinner deal, although the wine looked delicious and Friday flavoured.

That's a pet peeve about meal deals for pretty much any supermarket. The non-alcoholic options are invariably dull, and cheap.

M&S used to be the worst. They do really nice juices and non-alcoholic drinks, usually cheaper than the wines which are included, but they never are. And you end up with elderflower presse again.
 
Have had Vera here to make sure everything in the house is perfect for Christmas and the gardener round today to make sure everything is cut back and ready for Autumn/Winter whilst I went to Edinburgh to get last minute holiday bits. All packed up and my gorgeous Scottish haven will be closed up before I go back to Ireland. Vegas for a week first though baby! Last hurrah before I hibernate for a bit.
 
It was a four pack of diet cokes in bottles. We always like to have some fizzy sugary shit in during the summer, so it's fine, but not lovely lovely white wine.

And no Elderflower Press is NOT Finest.

If its any consolation I still feel fucking wank from drinking last night so you arent missing hangovers
 
If I’m not drinking on a weekend night I find kombucha the best alternative to a bottle of wine.
 
I had two glasses of white wine spritzer at lunch today. So now I'm in bed with a book and some water:disco:
