Friday is Sports Day

Will you be hoping to repeat last year?

And then of course I've volunteered to help at the school fair tomorrow. They could have made use of my multitude of skills and put me on the craft stand, or the team building stand. But they've chosen to put me on the alcohol stand.

Isle of Wight festival 2024 tickets go on sale for islanders in a few hours, I'm very excited. I'm actually going to go for the whole weekend for the first time ever, after my 1 day experience last weekend.

Also, where do you buy concert tickets for gigs in Europe? I'm assuming not Ticketmaster 🤔

We're looking at going to see Taylor Swift in Paris next year.

Hi Moopy.

Hi Moopy.

It's ticketmaster and co in europe, too.

There's a Roly's there! I think I've only been to Exmouth once.

We had a beach day on Wednesday. It was lovely. We went to 2 different beaches to try and kayak but it was a bit too windy so we sunbathed and paddled instead. We may kayak tomorrow.

I don't think I've been since I was a child, when we used to shop there while staying further east along the Jurassic Coast.

I'll keep a look for for Roly's. Not sure I'm in a fudge mood today, other than some fudge bits on ice cream.

I think I remember it having quite a nice large beach, but it was pouring with rain when we went.

Are you there all weekend?

No, just the day. We fancied going somewhere for the day and after London during the week, I wanted either middle of nowhere (not easy on the train), or seaside.

I have to say it's about the most disappointingly located branch I've seen. I'm usually impressed by how they have prime city or beach locations.

I'd just like to point out that my shop is far bigger and more modern than most Roly's. Especially that one :disco:

This sounds like it’s made up by true facts that I actually recently competed at a mini sports day at @Star ‘s house and omg everyone was so angry when they saw I’d cellotaped the egg to the spoon :disco:

Classic schoolboy error there @Suomi , everybody knows you only need a tiny blob of Blu-Tak to stick the egg to the spoon and nobody will be any the wiser.

No it's in Cowes, but I live in Ryde!
I met a lovely lady the other day called Suze and she had recently been on a day trip to the Isle of Wight. I told her I had a friend with a fudge shop there and she said there's only about four fudge shops on the island and that there was one in Ryde that she'd been to.

She is correct! There's us, Slab in East Cowes, one in Arreton, and All Things Sweet in Ryde. The owners there are lovely. But my fudge is better.

Well that was a pleasant enough day at work.

Currently necking sweet flavoured ciders (lemon sherbet, bubble gum etc). Vile but nom
