Borrow Nic's leather jacket!Working to 4 then going to see Garbage for the first time tonight. I can’t decide what to wear, it’s an indoor gig.
Everybody moves out to the sticks eventually because the novelty gives way to the annoyance. There is a temporary bus stop out the front of my gaff for the tram replacement service. Just heard some shouting which isn't uncommon. Went out on the balcony for a nosy, expecting some you neerdowell to be kicking off. It was a toe-to-toe between a grey haired chap in his 60s and a portly bus driver who wasn't far off his opponent's age.
I'm sure plenty of my neighbours would be horrified, but I genuinely love having a front row seat to the urban chaos. I know we'll leave her in a year or two, but I fucking love it.
Funnily enough we almost moved to the countryside before moving here, we’d started doing the paperwork for a house backing onto farmers fields and then I realised I like the urban hustle and bustle more.Everybody moves out to the sticks eventually because the novelty gives way to the annoyance.

I'm happy being 20 mins in a taxi or 10 mins on a train from it, it's easy and cheap to get home, it takes a tiny bit more effort for sure, but I get lots of greenery and canals and I can walk out the house and within about a quarter of an hour be somewhere rural enough it feels like I'm on holiday. It's also still possible to get absolute bargains 5-10 miles outside central Manchesterford if you avoid certain areas and go instead for the stuff that currently looks a bit less des res - all of which is outpacing the market.Funnily enough we almost moved to the countryside before moving here, we’d started doing the paperwork for a house backing onto farmers fields and then I realised I like the urban hustle and bustle more.
Well that sounds good and makes sense actually. No caprese salad but the woman behind me did order the HOT HONEY HALLOUMI.
