MORNING LOVES!

It's Victorious Festival here, which destroys me very soul every fucking year. Middle class cunts thinking they're going to a festival cause they've pulled out their wellies (in this dry weather) and put a bit of glitter on their face.

For me it means not being able to move the car for five days, having no sleep cause there's some arsehole vomiting/pissing/shouting outside your bedroom window until 3am and trying to block out the thud-thud-thud of whatever tepid 90s male indie band they have on at the time.

GRUMPY? ME?

Only been to Victorious once... about 4-5 years ago I think.. we saw MENLY C...Mr Suede thought she was great. I was dying inside.

We stayed in HAVANT. My favourite memory is a cute barista at HAVANT PUMPKIN station subtly flirting with me to the CHAGRIN of Mr Suede.

And Melanie C is one of the few females they've actually allowed in. In like the past ten years or something, there's only been one female, top line headliner. One year I called them out on socials for a line up which included one black person and one woman- and that was her from Morcheeba to cover both. They blocked me.

Just had a quick look - and this year they have SCISSOR SISTERS and NILE ROGERS to cover DIVERSITY!

Nile Rodgers having headlined before, Scissor Sisters GAY but sadly no longer female.

This reminds me of the Bedford Kite Festival which used to (perhaps still does) happen and meant we couldn't get parked because all the awful people who didn't live near the park would suddenly turn up and of course *couldn't possibly just walk there*.

We have an annual weekend festival that SCOUTING FOR GIRLS play every time.

They got SEB last year too and Gok Wan doing a DJ set this year, so really branching out

That reminds me of that time my friend and her young niece were harassed in a car park after a SCOUTING FOR GIRLS concert

And there was that time where Mr SUEDE heckled Toploader at a local festival by repeatedly asking for "CAN'T FIGHT THE MOONLIGHT"

The lead singer took it on the chin to be fair. All he said was "Very funny."

They never did play it. :(

I see JESSIE J is in the line-up this year. Be careful what you wish for!

But note - not amongst the headliners. (Not that she should be...but it's ALL FUCKING MEN AGAIN!)

Though I'm PARTICULARLY looking forward to GRIMACING my way through her "HITS" from my sofa.

Actually dentists annoy me so much. I missed my last 6 monthly checkup because they cancelled on me, and then I couldn't get a booking on a Saturday for 2 months. And then he's like 'well you've got massive tooth decay, most likely through a crack in your teeth, because you missed your last appt'

Firstly it wasn't my fault and secondly that crack is probably there because you did a filling on it previously

Remember, you never come across a poor dentist.

It just rained OUTRAGEOUSLY HARD for the 25 minutes I was walking home from town and now the fucking SUN is out again

IT'S JUST NOT MY DAY TODAY :(

This old clip of Whitney is gaining steam on Twitter again and it never fails to make me cackle

Kitchen rain defence not as good as originally thought after some epic rain last night and this morning, 'twas only a small leak though and probably due to the broken gutter. Spent a couple of hours up the ladder trying to shore up the broken gutter as we're due a lot more rain tonight according to the Met Office.

The amount of times I've been up and down the ladder in the last couple of weeks seems to be dissolving my terror bit by bit and one day I may be able to actually climb up on the roof. My legs didn't even shake today and at no point did I feel like I was going to faint. This is only a single-storey roof though, I'm not taking about the main roof. I'll never be that brave.

I've got this really weird leak in my big roof that just leaks a bit sometimes. It leaked yesterday when it first rained, but then it stopped even though it rained more later. And it hasn't leaked today despite that torrential rain I walked home in. I've wondered about intensity of rain, the time its rained for, the direction the wind is blowing and I can't work it out. I've got the LADY ROOFERS coming to look at it, they're going to think I'm MAKING IT UP

That's how mine started! Turned out somebody had nicked the flashing from the top of ours where it joins the house so water was initially only coming in when it rained in the correct direction. There was also moss in the grooves of the tiles so that moss would soak up the rainwater until it became waterlogged which eventually damaged the lining and let the water run down to the lowest point above my kitchen windows where it made its way in.
