Friday puts the heating on

And I am not shifting from bed until the house reaches a comfortable 16C

I didn’t to a duplicate on purpose this time, honest. :(
I’m going to get a reputation

Outrageous, my topic title got SUBSUMED even though I posted first. Who is the Moopy ombudsman?

Oh well

btw I need someone’s help, can someone have a nose in my Japan playlist for tomorrow and check that all the videos are viewable in the UK? Someone who isn’t interested in it at all so doesn’t worry about spoilers?

OOPS. Is it comfy at least or will it be a day of awkward sleeping position pains

Ms Ron went bed before me and I could hear her snoring from the front room as shes ill, so I thought I’d be better off down here rather than getting in bed and kicking her in my sleep for being noisy. Probably had a better nights kip down here and I can offer it was a romantic sacrifice as well.

I still get well above 20C in the living room without the heating on :o must be because I'm nestled in between other apartments

that and the weather it still weirdly warm for late September. well if climate change gets me a lower bill :eyes:

I’d also imagine you don’t live with somebody who likes the windows open overnight !

I would myself if my bedroom didn't look on a trafficked road! nothing like snuggling in a well chilled bedroom

That definitely helps. My place is pretty much the same. That and the fact that it’s so tiny :eyes:

I keep the window open in the bedroom (blinds shut though) as long as meteorologically possible in the year!

tell me about it, I feel like living in a shoebox sometimes, more so now because we're both working from home. we've got our eyes on a bigger apartment next door though, give it a few years or a push down the stairs and it's ours :disco:

Nearly called in sick to work this morning. Had the urge a few times recently but this was the first time I’ve had to really talk myself out of it.

take care of yourself. it sounds like you've been struggling with your job for a while and wanting to call in sick to get out of it is a sign that it's getting to you in a very fundamental way. I might be reading too much into it, if that's the case sorry. but god knows I've had the urge too at times :D

oh I'm sorry Buttertart, there's nothing worse than going to bed at night thankful for the little bit of a reprise sleep brings before you wake up. Have you been looking at other options?

My housemate and I the year before last used to 'joke' every Sunday evening that if one of us was pushed down the stairs, we'd pull the other down with us. All a bit of a laugh but not exactly a good sign, and even then I had nice colleagues and parents at least.

I love my colleagues, it’s the department and their increasingly bizarre demands of us that are wearing me down. I’m far from the only one feeling like this, it’s just that I’m the most vocal.
Our office Skype meeting this morning is a stand up exercise session called ‘wiggle it, waggle it, don’t sit on it’.
I took the secret fourth option ‘walk out of it’ and am rueing my decision to not call in sick :D

Ringing in because of your mental health is not only legit but says to your work 'you're a bunch of cunts'

Save it for Monday though ;)

A lot of the shit that’s happening (massively increasing the number of customers in the office at the same time as the local infection rate has rocketed, among other bullshit) kicks off on Monday, so I’m sorely tempted.

Jokes aside if the prospect of that is causing you genuine anguish, and it would me, and your concerns are being ignored, then some sort of physical act is much more likely to get noticed.

Oh I love things like this, but I understand why people might feel uncomfortable.

That sounds genuinely horrendous.

I find it's normally one prick who likes that sort of thing and imposes it on everyone else. Find them and kill them.
