Friday puts the heating on

Oh my windows are shut the minute the temperature drops below about 16°C

I chuffing hate team building stuff. I come here to work, not to talk about my feelings/my life. A good team is one that can get its finger out its arse and I don't have to tidy up after them.

Morning loves, nowhere near as hungover as I should be. Currently sat watching Moopyvision SHOW SPECTACULAR in bed with a cuppa.

I've putting the heating on but only because my mushrooms need it.

I’m very much of the opinion that I’m paid to spend time with these people, it’s not something I would have done for free. My attitude to team activities reflects this.

My boss was microdosing shrooms over the summer, but now has gone back to macrodosing booze and coke.

I feel your pain, @ButterTart. I had my monthly supervision yesterday, which is usually for clinical matters. But I don't think I've ever sworn so much in a 90 minute period in my life. At one point I was actually physically shaking (not crying) in rage.

And last night I thought of a few more things I wanted to add. I don't work Fridays, but decided I needed to fire off another email this morning or else I wouldn't get able to get on with the weekend.

did I say I had my first shroom dalliance this summer. a mild but very effective affair. 10/10 would try again

Nice, I've found a happy place of somewhere between half a gram and a gram, so you're not completely bewildered by the carpet breathing, but everything is pretty and your thoughts are good.

Don't get me wrong, I still like the occasional full on drug binge, but small doses of mushrooms leave you feeling fresh the day after but you feel like you've had good mileage out of your experience. .

It does help getting it down in an e-mail. I’ve spent today putting together a massive statement about all the things I’m unhappy about. I don’t know who I’d send it to or if anyone would take notice (they haven’t so far) but it’s just good to get the bile out.

My Amitriptyline party is going EVER so well. Woke up this morning and briefly thought about suffocating myself with a plastic bag. How lovely! :disco:

Print it out, blow it up into A0 and stick it around the office. A subtle approach always works best.

Does anyone enjoy their jobs :gross:

I always dreamt of working in a vets and was so excited when I got the job. 6.5 years later, I'm done. I have no compassion or patience left to give people anymore.

Sometimes the cute pets make up for it tho

I used to quite like mine in the before times. Right now I am just a bit bored of the corner of my living room but I am coping.

Yes, but technically I don't have a 'job' - which is probably why I like it?

Okay do yourselves a favour and do NOT click on dub’s most recent thread

Also waiting on a call about some ket. Imll be happy when dealers use drones.

Ridley has put 10lb on during lockdown. He now weighs 7 stone 10 lb which is only 4 lb lighter than I was at 23. It's no wonder I can't lift him up, the bloody fatrops. I'm just glad I had to wait in the carpark while he saw the vet because normally I'd have got a massive telling off. All because I've been working from home so he's been getting Winalot biscuits during the day.

Benson always loses weight whenever I go back to university :D

I mean what’s the point in having a dog if you won’t give it treats?

Exactly!

I have to admit that Ridley got far too many treats off me while I was at home. Comes in from the garden and wipes his feet at the backdoor = 1 winalot shape, sits still while I towel him dry if it's raining outside = 1 winalot shape, sits still while I put his ear medicine in = 1 winalot shape for each ear, sits still while I clean his tail adenoma (lump) = 1 shape for water, 1 shape for the shampoo, 1 shape for rinsing, 1 shape for drying, being cute = 1 shape, dancing with me in the kitchen = 1 shape, sitting quietly while I prepare my sandwich = 1 slice of sandwich meat, sitting quietly while I cook meals = whatever extra I cook for him (eg. a sausage or 2 rashers of bacon, fat off steak or chops), giving me a high-five = 1 shape, high-five with the other paw = 1 shape. I'm seeing a pattern here and it's now not a surprise how I got through a sack of Winalot biscuits in less than a month. Winalot Shapes are the only treat biscuit he can safely have, other ones have either given him chronic squits or make his face swell up, cheap rawhide chews do both. He can have Rodeos or a Jumbone as a special treat.

I'll have to knock it on the head now that I know because I don't have 7 grand for a hip replacement for him and he's at maximum painkiller dosage. He's just so damned cute though, looking at me with those big brown eyes but it's for his own good.
