Friday storms before Christmas

The wind was pretty strong over night here. Doors they were rattling. Mr Ag's last day, so can really start to relax. We'll once I've done the cheese shop.

My parents are spending Christmas at my place, and I feel oddly calm about it.

GIVE IT 24 HOURS

Oh hi Friday. I'm still not especially healthy, but I'm definitely feeling better than before and am still functional. Hoping to hit town for some mulled wine with friends later.

2nd schoolnight this week i've been up until 2am with a few beers.

at least i'm not driving to Cornwall today. oh

The night before last was terrible here leading to MINOR DAMAGE. It’s still rather breezy now.

Popped out this morning, starting to get a bit windy again. Off to my brother's this afternoon and then that is IT.

Nothing like needing a new hob and cooker 3 days before Christmas dinner :|

Good afternoon! Mr COB has been unwell for most of the week, but we just ventured into town for some Xmas food stuff. We're all sorted for TRIMMINGS and NIBBLES so now just need our main roast for the day itself. Lidl didn't have much that appealed, and M&S was out of our price range so I'm off to the local Aldi in a bit (I already saw what I want the other day but didn't want to buy too early in case it went off :tongueout:)

Christ last night's spicy pizza has destroyed my arse. I feel like <insert notable Moopy bottom of choice>

I have some sympathy - even a relatively small serving of sprouts last night has given me the farts. I think I'm OK now but it's just as well it was already windy out and not too busy this morning, put it that way. If I'd been in the office, I'd have been as popular as...well as popular as a fart in an enclosed space.

AFTERNOON. I’m about to hit a five day whirlwind of family festive fun starting with a cathedral carol choir live screening of the the Snowman type thing with my nephew today.

I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for a while but all I want to do today is SLEEP

Presents and food all done though so there’s THAT

BUSY and still have to listen to the rest of ASFXMAS.
Oh God I haven't bothered yet and I don't know when I will. I'm out again soon and then it's operation Xmas (big shop tomorrow and then everything kicks off Xmas Eve).

The coffee at the Starbucks by King's Cross was one of the grossest things I've ever tasted for some reason

Just been for chinese hotpot, tasty but so obese doggys now. Prey for my cholesterol levels.

All packed and ready to head back to Scotland tomorrow. It has been such a rush job this year, but I can now finally take a deep breath and say I AM READY. Settling down with a couple of blood orange spritz and feeling festive for the first time this year. :disco:

Today, I have worked, had a haircut, delivered presents across Portsmouth, including to two family members who haven’t bothered to get us anything in return despite us always normally doing so, attended the Christmas party at my Mum’s home to her entire disinterest in me to the point I had a little cry in the car on the way home, collected and packed into my car a £700 click and collect order, iced two Christmas cakes, wrapped presents for Mr Sheena and his Dad as I did both their Christmas shopping for them given recent events, steamed a Christmas pudding, taken two bags to the recycling, made chilli, queued at a cheese shop only to find out they didn’t have the cheese I wanted, posted ten Discogs orders out and packed to go to Wales tomorrow, for which I am leaving at 8 and expecting to drive for nigh on 5 hours, before organising food and (a lot of the) entertainment for Mr Sheena’s family of ten people for four days, including his fucking useless brother who keeps doing things like sending messages saying “oh we’ll need XXX, can you grab, please?” despite the click and collect order being done and “XXX” representing items including pickled FUCKING walnuts and maraschino cherries, I kid you not. All whilst Mr Sheena has sat around doing nothing being too depressed to do anything cause his mother died which has wound me up something chronic, which has then in turn made me feel guilty because if you can’t do fuck all when your mum dies, WHEN CAN YOU?

I love Christmas, it’s my favourite time of the year. I get everything done in November so I don’t have any of this shit to deal with.

Moopy, I am now on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

MERRY CHRISTMAS LOVES!

Tell ME about it.

The 28th can’t come quickly enough. But even then I’ve already been told we’ll have to prep for our IMPENDING NEW FLOORS.

We have just booked a January holiday, though, whilst it’s all happening, so at least that is SOMETHING.

Also what flooring you going for? I'm looking at porcelain tiles.

Proper wood floors all the way through. I can’t wait- I’m desperate to buy a rug just to cover them all up the minute we get them :disco:
