I need to update my imac, but the hard drive is corrupt and needs replacing. Which is tricky to do because you've got to remove the screen and someone dropped my screen the other day so it cracked.

I've done it before, you need one of those dent puller things to pull the front glass off. Trouble is putting it back together without trapping too much dust between the glass and the LCD...

please report back! the last big update messed up my battery life, something about booting up at random to run processes, which would lead to huge drops in battery life between uses. it was so frustrating!
