A friend of mine had a tray of brownies delivered to me at work today. No idea why or how he knew I was even working and liked brownies, but it's definitely cheered me up.

The shop is dead, Mandy's abandoned me for a week and I feel kinda blue.

Hey - I am fine, thanks for asking. Was very scary and surreal - hotel I am in is a mess. I don’t think anyone realised how bad it was until this morning.

Are you able to stay there or are you having to make alternative arrangements? How long are you there for?

I am supposed to be coming home today so as long as the airport is open and the flight is running then I should be able to leave. They said they won’t close the hotel so if people need to stay on they can.

Yeah - apparently they hardly ever get earthquakes and not strong ones - it’s a shock even for the locals.
