Will CBD oil help with my sciatica? I've been meaning to do a bit of research.

I mean I pay £9 for painkillers on prescription anyway.

Cannabis?! What fo you want us to turn into druggies?

One is called Propavan and the other Atarax (Hydroxizine). Only use Propavan now, unless I’ve been out and taken other type of drugs and need to sleep heavily.

Antihistamines are the worst (hi mirtazapine). Are you sure you can't get zolpidem or something?

What does that do? I don’t have a problem with falling asleep, my problem is that I keep waking up, sometimes for hours.

I think zolpidem is more for falling asleep but apparently also for staying asleep in larger doses. My own experience is that it has the least side effects the next day. Definitely no grogginess, fatigue or any of that shit.

Please send something for DROOPY DRAWERS' cough. I've never known someone get so many coughs. A LARGE MALLET will DO NICELY

zopiclone

I had a week on that when I was off work mental around Easter time. I was pretty knocked out for a couple of days but jeez it sorted me. 8 hours uninterrupted kip really is the cat's pyjamas.

It basically allows me to maintain consistent nights asleep. I don't really see what the issue is.

I’ll have a look at both.

Weed stopped my night terrors in their tracks, I still wake up a few times during the night but I easily get back to sleep afterwards and it's preferable to waking up the neighbours with screaming and having to explain that I'm not being murdered but my brain's a bit mental when I'm asleep.

I was prescribed Zopiclone back in March after my last operation, but they only let me have it for a week, and wouldn't give me a repeat prescription of it. It did work, but I don't like how it knocked me out - I really struggled to get up in the morning. It was fine because at that point I was still off work but there is no way I could have gone to work the morning after taking one. My GP are quite strict about prescribing things - there is a notice saying that they will not do initial prescribing of stuff like Dihydrocodiene, the Z drugs etc.

I didn't realise that there were different types of sleeping tablets though. What is Temazepam then?

That's what it was like for me. My GP didn't want to go on for another week either but he did say that he would be happy to give me it again at some stage.

My problem is my tolerance to ANY type of drug is very low, it must be my metabolism. Caffeine, alcohol, sleeping pills, obviously dihydrocodiene..

Well just like there are different painkillers which work in different ways but all relieve pain, there are different sleeping tablets.

Temazepam is a benzodiazepine, like diazepam and nitrazepam, and rarely prescribed for sleep now, at least as a first course of action. Then you have the Z drugs like Zopiclone and Zolpidem (and I think there's one more) which essentially work in the same way and were seen as the miracle answer when it was realised that benzos were so addictive and created as many problems as they solved, but they as basically just as problematic themselves.

I think Promethazine is the most widely prescribed antihistamine for sleeping in the UK, probably, You can also buy it over the counter as Phenergan or Sominex (but not the crappy herbal Somnex). It's always worked for me in the past but my problem tends to be getting to sleep in the first place - once I'm off I'm usually fine for the night, cat scratch to the bollocks aside.

I wonder what her Twitter mentions are like at the minute. Probably enough gammon to make the site unsuitable for vegetarians.
