Fuck she's dead Friday

I had a dream last night that it was @Sheena 's wedding, he'd asked me to make a speech but I was so nervous I got really drunk. I woke up the next morning not knowing if I managed to make the speech or not :(
Erm, that's a FLASHBACK, not a dream...

I told you. MEMORIAL FUDGE. You need to get some stickers printed and whack them on everything and watch it fly :disco:
I said this to Mandy, but she doesn't want us to look heartless and tacky :(

We do have our Queenie cut out still from the jubilee weekend. I might stick her in the window with a black veil on.

I just went out and the world seems entirely normal.

I'm slightly disappointed to be honest. Apart from a translator messaging me this morning to say "Sorry for your loss" and me taking about 10 seconds to work out what he meant, everything is just a bit MEH.

Roads were a bit quiet and the gym had no music on, which was fucking weird, but yeah, apart from that, normal.

I do wonder if the 10 days of mourning is a bit out of proportion with how the majority of the nation feels about the Monarchy?

I'd be amazed if there isn't some griping.

If I had a business that relied on footfall like a club, pub etc I'd be pretty pissed at the thought of shutting.

It shouldn't really affect much really, outside of governement and other public bodies. The BBC might be a bit weird for a bit but I imagine the other channels will switch back to normal tomorrow until the funeral. Businesses can (and should) operate as normal.

I feel like going to the gym now, just to see if they have music on...

THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION, LIZ

6 Music is just playing chilled stuff and Mary Anne Hobbs doesn't seem to be in, so that's a WIN

Bugger, why do I always forget how to tie a Windsor ( :( etc) knot and have to Google it every time?
I used to have a repertoire of tie knots when I used to wear one every day, and I now I can barely remember how to do ANY of them :(

I need a DRESSER.

Oh Mandy also doesn't want Queenie put out :D but I'm not sure what else to do with her. She cost us £50!

Hire two white fell ponies and reenact this?

My Mother has just phoned to complain that Sainsbury's wasn't suitably respectful.

I don't know what she was expecting. Low organ music playing and everyone in a BLACK VEIL?

GOOD.

The huge Tour of Britain cycle race has been cancelled , understandably. But it was due to be on the island on Sunday and businesses and the council put a huge amount of money into it. So although I understand why it's been cancelled, I'm very sad for the island and the competitors :(

Yeah i'm annoyed about that. Cricket cancelled today too.

The only one I can remember is that really simple one that is always lopsided. I feel a funeral requires symmetry.

The black boxes on display is a move classy and subtle enough to compensate for a little cut out put out there.
Ok. Black boxes will go out. With a Union Jack. I need to think about the cut out. She got a huge amount of attention for the jubilee weekend but everyone was laughing and joking and taking selfies with her. That would feel very wrong now.

Lie her down on the fudge-making table...
