Light Years is wonderful and I think it may actually charm Miss Funks. it's way more Europop than anything so far but the hooks are RELENTLESS!
 
I discovered Impossible Princess in 2002-2003 and I was semi blown away by it because Massive Attack and Ray of Light were still the best thing I knew and this album provided some similar sounding variants.
Not sure I’d like it as much today, but I do love ”dark” Kylie more than anything that came after Body Language.

it actually was my first kylie album, though i did love some of her 80s and early 90s stuff and even had her on a poster way back then (especially for you was huge here and so was better the devil you know, rightfully) and then, of course, there was confide in me.

i won't spoil which are my faves on the album but yes it's almost all of them!
 
For all the trivia fans here, Limbo was meant to be the lead single for Impossible Princess before Kylie got into the studio with the Manics (which was very late into the process). That's why the single artwork in no way represents the mood of Some Kind Of Bliss. :D

I wonder if it would have fared any better. It does have more urgency to it.

probably. it definitely would've been more consistent direction-wise. i really don't like the manic tracks at all, they're just passable.

Fever I think I will like a bit more but still nowhere near as much as others

Body Language I remember being a mixed bag but enough highs for me to get through it unscathed

all her albums have at least a few amazing tracks and at least one or two misfires.
but this one is all amazing tracks and one booger. you'll love it, you just have to appreciate it for what it is ( and it is flaming *.* )
 
i just realised my favourites on light years are non-singles. maybe it was overplay that did the singles wrong but it's all about the album tracks on this one for me.

and kids is a nice song but it's such a stain on this album. it's its single fault.
 
Opinions are like arseholes but then I guess you'd know a lot about those.

Golden is fine. The production lets it down somewhat but there are enough decent tracks on it. And it's a breakup album DESPITE her protestations.
