Please explain the exact moment when footballers became virtuous bastions of moral decency and defenders of the left?

I assume 1980s football hooligans are now checking their privilege and exploring wokeness, as they just find these PIG CUNTS are just a STEP TOO FAR.

It’s the hypocrisy as well. They’re banging on about the importance of impartiality, as if they wouldn’t be delighted if some BBC presenter made a strident defence of their policy to drown as many refugees as they can.

As you should be. The sheer hypocrisy here absolutely stinks. If there's one positive, I think all the BBC have done, really, is shine an intense light on how corrupt they are. Nobody is quite using that term yet because of where it inevitably leads, but they really, really are.



I think this sums it up nicely, even if it hearing it verbalised makes me all the more incandescent with rage.

It's utter bollocks. Just because GBNews and whatever tosh Piers Morgan is on, get zero viewership, they seem to have taken over narrative. When did criticising the government become SUCH A PROBLEM? POWER HUNGRY LUNATICS!

WHEN DID MINISTERS START GETTING RADIO AND TV SHOWS? (a while, I know). They literally want to control everything. The Nazism comparison was SPOT ON!
 
I've just read a book about the BBC. Great book, but since the 1980s they've become a right wing bureaucratic nightmare. Of course not all their content is right wing and actually their news at least is reasonably balanced, to the place of missing the point sometimes. Truth has become a left wing weapon and considered partisan.

No wonder their top talent is jumping ship. Their top brass are employed by the current government, the same people who renew the TV licence, so go figure.

I assume Lineker is reasonably popular within football circles. It seems mad that they'd drop him over SO VERY LITTLE. As said elsewhere there's been years of right wing TV arseholes spouting right wing rhetoric on social media and the government didn't shit themselves over BIAS!

Ugh so much this. The only winners in ALL OF THIS are the Tories. They must be LAUGHING that all the absolute calamity, hatred and vitriol being aimed at the BBC today (not undeserved AT ALL I must state), whilst we all sidestep scrutiny of their actual HORRIFIC policies.

Wasn't there a LEAKED MEMO saying Sunak's plan was to step up the CULTURE WARS a notch as a distraction from the state of the country? BINGO!

Yup. This is that plan, no doubt in full swing.

I once gave Gary Lineker directions to the Bristol Royal Infirmary where he was doing a charity thing and he was an absolute friendly delight.
