I get a bit militant about it, and will correct things and almost always say boyfriend instead of partner. I just don't see the point of letting these things lie
I'm just a little more RESERVED about it. We had 3 new people join at work recently and I felt like I was very of having to go through the "my partner...he..." every time

I suppose I just don't see it as coming out any more. I'm just gonna be me and they can come out to me as a homophobe if they absolutely must.

In a safe space I just speak freely about it. "My boyfriend said this...". But I normally do a risk assessment. You can normally tell pretty quickly. It's very rare I hide it.

My last job, the girls on the office spent about a week hinting at it when I joined. For my own amusement, I said nothing until I was directly asked.

Although like Lucille said it's hard to miss!

The good thing about the modern world is that homophobia is NOW the problem.

I say “I was with my boyfriend the other day and etc etc”

they can be quite dismissive when they find out there’s no boyfriend
What are attitudes towards the gays like in Japan?

Alas this is why we still need Gay Pride. I've had the same barber for 7 years and have never come out to him. All male straight environments still aren't the bastion of gay comfort.

These sorts of scenarios are bringing up memories of Goffman’s dramaturgy theory.

I don’t really hear anything bad, but the scope of my conversations is quite limited at work. I guess broadly like the UK, many are fairly indifferent/accepting, but generally the country is quite conservative.

Some MPs say some homophobic and transphobic comments but they do get dragged for it too.

Gay marriage feels like a way off but it’s being tested. There are sort of commitment ceremonies, but they’re legally quite weak and only available in local councils dotted around.

it helps that religion doesn’t have much grip over things compared to other countries. It’s just that Japan is so fucking slow taking action about anything

Not going to post this in the Euro 2020 thread but WTF are the Eurovision channel doing?

Euro 2020 has European countries, Eurovision has European countries, some of them are the same and some of them are not!

Why does this video exist? :D

Same, but also because calling a 50-something "boyfriend" seems a bit weird

Yeah, if I am being honest its because WIFE sounds fucking MEDIEVAL. Hence why I call her Ms Ron on here. Through no input of mine, she also uses Ms too. SO MODERN.

Most barbers around these places are far too concerned with being a front for dealing and/or cash laundering that I doubt they care very much that I like sucking cock.

Excitement at my house when two cop vans and a car came screaming up the road and parked outside my house then ten rozzers jumped out and piled across the road. It was like something off the telly. Alky-allegedlypaedo-waster in the bottom flat is up to his old tricks again but this time I think he's threatened the young girl in the bottom flat. All I can say is that he's bloody lucky her builder husband isn't home because I would not go out and stop him beating seven colours of shit out of him, I'd probably go over and get a couple of kicks in myself.

They haven't even taken him away! What do people have to do to get arrested nowadays?! Even while the copper was in the girl's flat he came outside gobshiting at her window again and waving his arms around. Then, when the last van drove away he had his window open shouting at nobody but the van came back (it had turned round at the shop) and parked up opposite his flat and he started chucking stuff out of the window at them.

Going off previous experiences this isn't the last we'll see of them tonight :D
At least it lets me get my nosey on I suppose

You can totally see my nips through this vest top but I can't be arsed to change it so I hope the Deliveroo driver doesn't look

Shame you've already paid or you could gee them up with a quick rub from a bag of frozen peas before you go to the door and get free stuff!

I'd forgotten there were places where you can't get Uber, Uber Eats, or Deliveroo.

How and why do people spend so much money on fudge! We've been absolutely inundated today. Some people spent £90 each....on fudge?? I'm so tired.
I've seen Roly's in Torquay and Paignton today.
