GB News and Talk TV 🤬

I’ve been home for the last 24 hours and he enjoyed bringing up his recycled far-right talking points at ANY OPPURTUNITY.

Anyway he’s voting Reform because the Tories are not evil and racist enough for him, he’s been fully radicalised and won’t listen to reason. He was telling me how lawless London is and how no one there likes Sadiq Khan. And despite me being a first hand source telling him that was incorrect, he believed the right wing nut jobs on the radio over his own son who actually lives in London! He has such a comfortable life and none of the stuff he moans about affects him directly at all, but he’s so determined to be angry and a victim, I just don’t get it.

It’s never too early to consider switching him off.

I caught a glimpse of it last time I went home and it really is just FEAR MONGERING. Just endless hours of right wing cunts ranting about how London is like the Thunderdome and everyone is fearing for their lives.

Meanwhile their viewers turn from their TV to their iPads, go on Facebook and type "Gun them all down and let them drown and die xxx" under a news story about refugees.

That's a name I haven't heard since 2021! So many social media grifters died when Twitter did (I'm sure they're still pedalling away on Truth Social and Parler but I don't know them)

Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X, has long campaigned against diversity and inclusion initiatives in the US, and has backed Lowe in the past, claiming Restore UK is “the only way to save Britain”. He has not commented on this specific case.

OK... so why mention him here

While I don’t like the sound of whoever this cunt is, and I support this Foundation’s objectives, isn’t positive discrimination illegal?

I worry she might have a case.

Where were her complaints when Sauron was only employing her fellow wraiths to positions of authority smh.

But yes, these things are well meaning but surely on quite shaky ground legally.

The charity’s argument is that the scheme is lawful positive action under sections 158 and 159 of the Equality Act. I am very confident that the rejection did not actually say that she was being rejected because she was white or that the scheme is only open to underrepresented groups. Schemes such as this are legal as long as they still select the best candidate from the people who choose to apply.

I think the rules are different for temporary training posts, like internships, compared to permanent jobs.

There are tons of similar schemes, so if she does end up winning it will have an insane knock on effect on basically every company in the UK

You can see it coming can't you. The British version of Musk and his dissolution of DEI in the States.
