I forgot the phonetic alphabet a few weeks ago because I hadn't used it for so long...I got to C and the only word I could think of was "cunt". I blame Moopy.

I find it astounding that anyone would still even use that, and especially not in that context. Maybe she was VERY VERY OLD but EVEN THEN
 
All this said, COLOURED still seems to be in vogue with certain members of my family “because black’s rude” :)

Does anyone here think it’s a sensible idea to leave a job with nothing to go to in this current climate? Not asking for me. I wouldn’t be so stupid

Without knowing the details, it;s hard to say. But broadly, no. It's a grit-teeth and get on with it time, I think.

I personally don't. But I do know two people in my old place who did this because they simply couldn't handle it anymore and their mental health was suffering, and they both came out the other side of it better off.

I'd be inclined to say that if they are considering it despite the conditions that we are in, things must be awful, and it it may be beneficial. As long as they have some way of coping for what could be a pretty long period of time.

Are they able to reduce their hours or anything like that? That may be a better short to medium term solution until they can get a better job.

Thank you for your thoughts on the leaving job front, loungers. This particular person has a habit of throwing everything into the air, especially when things are going awry in her crappo relationship, so no prizes for guessing which should be binned in the first instance

To point out the two examples of my ex-colleagues who did it, it was after a long time of suffering and persistent unhappiness. There were no snap decisions and/or flouncing off. (Well actually there WAS in one instance but he was persuaded back briefly :D)
 
Just been on a mega walk, this time to beautiful Wivenhoe, which I where I deserve to live.
 
I've been down to the river where the panting non-distancing jogger cunts are back out in force. :manson: Won't be doing that again for a while.
