I've been hammering the gym as of late and I'm fucking pooped. I have stuff to do but I'm not doing it.

Now that the title has put a song in my head, I was listening to Andrew Hickey's brilliant A History Of Rock Music in 500 Songs podcast and he did a 4-part episode of Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stones. What an absolute shower of bastards they were. It says a lot that I came out of it with more respect for Bill Fucking Wyman than for Mick Jagger or Keith Richards.

I went to HMV at lunchtime.

I realise this is a broken record (PUN INTENDED) but FUCK ME, it was APPALLING. I wanted to buy THE ACTUAL TOP TWO ALBUMS, neither of which were in stock, with no section for current music, but just a big display of Oasis/ Pink Floyd/ Fleetwood Mac style albums and another one of Christmas ones and, my absolute favourite, when I actually asked about SAID TOP TWO ALBUMS, the staff member hadn't even heard of one of them.

I DESPAIR.

Vinyl is for the wealthy or people who buy 5-10 albums a year. I've got Rosalia, Hayley Williams and Julian Cope coming in for well under Williams on vinyl amd I could add another album before hitting Rosalia's prices.
